Rudy, Bush and 9-11
Edited on Thu May-17-07 03:48 AM by radfringe
Since 9-11, you would be hard pressed to find one speech where Bush DOES NOT invoke 9-11 and dire warnings of disaster in the form of mushroom clouds, general terrorist attacks and/or terrorists following us home.

Rudy and his staff have seemed to cribbed these talking points right out of bush's speeches.

A slight change in the cast of characters, but it's the same story in other ways too.

When bush ran in 2000, one of the concerns was his lack of experience/knowledge of foreign policy. But we were assured bush would have "good advisors" around him. We were told that he would be able to be president because he was governor of a big state.

I'm hearing murmurs of the same thing regarding Rudy.

rudy's lack of foreign policy experience is nothing to worry about - he'll have "good advisors", and he'll be a good president because he was mayor of a big city. If that doesn't convince you of rudy's qualifications/abilities then ( ---insert booga-booga 9-11 here--- )

If dubya is poppy bush's mini-me, then rudy is dubya's micro-me

1. They both sure as hell capitalized on the horror of 911.
I think Rudy--if he ever won the White House, and I doubt it--would prove to be a bigger horses-ass then Bush. He might be smarter, but hell, most people are smarter then Bush.

2. Hahahaha, great one, radfringe! "micro me"
"If dubya is poppy bush's mini-me, then rudy is dubya's micro-me."

You know the imagery that invokes -- so you must capture it in one of your cartoons!

And I agree with your OP. Thanks for sharing your observation!

(I haven't yet watched any of the 'Puke "debates" or listened to any of their candidates' speeches. It's just way too soon for that for me. Could be what we'll be looking at come election day is a GORE vs. THOMPSON race... wouldn't THAT be interesting?)
