5. Yeah - at a kitchen table like the old cigarette ads
It was black & white dream sequence where they are toking on a joint as a leadin to a discussion on whether legalized MJ should be allowed to be advertised.

4. Gotta love these totally cryptic posts where nothing is described or explained.
Gives my ESP a great workout.

"Dude, didja see that? Wasn't that awesome?"

12. Burning one what?
Sometimes you do need to translate, dear. Not all of us are flaked out in front of a cable supplied TV.

15. "Burning one" is a colloquialism.
It means smoke a joint. Usage: Hey man, wanna burn one?

18. From like 1960
Do they even still say that any more? I thought that went along with "far out".

22. I'm 30 and I use it with my friends.
I just think it sounds cool and when in public, it's a lot more discrete than saying "Pardon me, would you be interested in partaking in a marijuana cigarette with me?"

14. How is it unreasonable and "police"-like to ask a poster
for enough information for the post to make sense if you can't get to a TV?

9. Gotta love these idiotic posts where just because someone misses the
reference he or she just HAS to post. If you didn't see the thing in question, the OP was not meant for you!

19. There is nothing idiotic...
about someone wanting a post to have some details and context to it. Some people think every post is like a single tweet or a single 'Instant Message' chat line.

I read the post and it didn't make much sense to me either. Not only was there no context, but it was ambiguous. I thought 'burning one' may have meant 'really lit into a guest'. To which the question would be 'who was the guest' that got burnt?

17. Not cryptic, just assumes that everyone else is watching the same thing on TV
Even though some of us actually have jobs and stuff.

20. Why not think: Well this post is obviously directed at those who were watching. Perhaps
I'll either hide it or wait for some context in follow up posts from those who were watching. Or maybe I'll just move on to something else.

Instead we get: Blah, blah! I wasn't watching and I'm going to let everyone know it by posting my displeasure at the lack of context because I wasn't watching and the poster didn't spell it all out! blah, blah...

It's really simple to say to oneself, well, I wasn't watching so the post wasn't directed at me. I do it all the time.
