Vote for Countdown's 'D.C. Idol" - best politician's musical video

Now before everyone goes rushing to vote for Clinton, I am asking, begging you all to PLEASE VOTE FOR ASHCROFT'S "LET THE EAGLE SOAR"

I know this is hard to do, we have all trained ourselves to go to the link, click off the box next to the Democratic selection or progressive issue, but STOP for a minute here.

Really, try and think outside the box we've put ourselves in. Look at the selections - Clinton really isn't that good as he barely sings 'Imagine',- kind of reluctantly. His performance doesn't deserve the vote.

BUT THINK OF THE COMEDY VALUE OF ASHCROFT SINGING LET THE EAGLE SOAR WINNING THE CONTEST!

Keith would have a great time playing this video, he has a great sense of humor- and he could put it in context with recent news about Ashcroft- he could really do a great segment featuring this video clip.(Winner announced on Friday's show)

Besides, this vote doesn't really matter for anything important. I KNOW WE CAN DO THIS!

DO IT FOR KEITH WHO WOULD HAVE SO MUCH FUN WITH IT!

DO IT FOR COMEY- RUSHING UP THE HOSPITAL STAIRS TO KEEP THE WHITEHOUSE HENCHMEN FROM FORCING A PAIN-RIDDEN AND DRUGGED ASHCROFT FROM SIGNING THE ILLEGAL WIRETAPPING BILL.

DO IT FOR THE FOUNDING FATHERS, THE CONSTITUTION, THE BILL OF RIGHTS

Ok, I realize some of you will not be able to actually click off the circle next to Ashcroft's name - at least check out Kucinich lively "16 tons' performance and vote for that.

1. I was planning to vote for "Soar" anyway.

I saw all the candidates on Countdown and I thought the Ashcroft song was far and away the best performed. And he even wrote it!

I disagreed with most of Ashcroft's policies, although this new Gonzo hospital drama puts him in a slightly better light. (By the way, didn't we already know the hospital story years ago? It seems odd to have it ballyhooed this week as a "new revelation".) But he does have musical talent.

And he does the best performance, I agree.

I know that my fellow DUer's will be objective like you and vote for Ashcroft.
