Exclusive: Major human trafficker is huge GOP donor who fought illegal immigration

A business owner indicted for the human trafficking of 400 laborers from Thailand is a frequent donor to the Republican Party and recently waged war against other companies involved with hiring illegal immigrants.

The Associated Press reports http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/09/02/AR2010090204657.html that according to the allegations, "the recruiters lured the workers with false promises of lucrative jobs, then confiscated their passports, failed to honor their employment contracts and threatened to deport them."

...........

The man at the helm is Mordechai Orian, 45, President and CEO of the Los Angeles-based Global Horizons Manpower Inc., a labor contracting group. Five of his affiliates and contractors were also charged in the scheme.

Orian gave tens of thousands of dollars to the National Republican Congressional Committee on eight occasions between 2004 and 2006, according to the election records database Newsmeat. His largest contribution of $11,000 came on July 13, 2006. Orian also gave $2000 to the GOP-affiliated Restore America PAC twice in that period.

They are nurses. They are teachers. They pick your apples. How immigration law has set legal foreign workers up for a new kind of indentured servitude--and this time, there's no paying off your contract.

12. Those son a bitches! Google the Franklin Cover Up and you'll find ties to Poppy Bush and
on this list you see ties to W. Bush, especially those that helped to steal his two elections...

Katherine Harris and Kenneth Blackwell....for starters. This all started a long time ago.

Those picking food are lucky, many others become sex slaves.

19. Well, they certainly have benefited from slavery, and benefited by keeping Americans out of work.
This would make a good commercial.

17. You know why? Republicans' support for border security abets trafficking doesn't it?
Think about how Prohibition encouraged bootlegging of alcohol. With an extremely tight border, the incentive to cross by any illegal means increases. What a bunch of disgusting thugs who represent the anti-humane Republican mentality.

20. Human Trafficking! Illegal Immigrants! Big GOP Donor!
Well, at least, we are now told, the GOP is responsible for integrated schools and The Civil Rights movement!

And we should miss G.W Bush because he protected us, won the Iraq War, and was "real", not fake.

Jesus H. Christ on a cracker! These people will do and say ANYTHING!

25. Here's a picture of the fucker

It's from a site talking about Mr. Orian "taking the fight against illegal immigration to court, accusing competitors of hiring illegal workers to achieve an unfair advantage and violating the state's unfair-competition laws."

One would think a person who uses slave labor would have a greater unfair advantage than an employer using illegal immigrants, but I guess a person who has no qualms about enslaving people doesn't bother with such subtleties.
