5. I was the same height at that age |
|
Girls hit their last growth spurt around 12 - 13. I grew six inches (5'2" to 5'9") in the year between my 12th and 13th birthdays and have been 5'9" ever since. It was a nightmare for my mom to keep me in clothes during the school year. She finally resorted to sewing fabric "ruffles" (with a huge hem) to the bottom of my jeans that she could let down as needed.

6. I was as tall as my mother when I was 12 |
|
and that was before my growth spurt (I grew 7 more inches by high school).
I was taller than my dad by 10th grade (6' to his 5'11") - pretty tall for a girl in those days. :)

8. I don't like your use of "normal' either. In fact, I don't like the question. |

10. It is when BOTH parents are approximately six feet tall. |

Which means that odds are she'll be even taller.
John Cleese was a 12-year old six footer. He said he overcame his resulting self-consciousness by becoming the class clown...

It's just a simple question. if you don't want to answer it based onyoru view I accept that. Blame the new source for revealing her height anyway.

12. Mrs. Solomon is that tall. And she got there at 12-13, too. |
|
she's got one heck of a complex related to being taller than every boy at that age. "string bean", "baby long legs", "skinny minny", etc. are part of her self-image 40 years later.
it ain't 'normal' in that it deviates from the mean, but it sure has its advantages (for me). at only 1.5" shorter and 20 lbs. less than me, she can't claim that something is too heavy for her to lift!
