Isn't this just so "special"
Steve King refuses to debate the Democratic opponent again.. He has done this kind of thing every single time he has been up for re-election. Well this time Matt Campbell the Democrat challenged him at a meeting. To which King responded that the Democrat "did not deserve a debate"

This is what is taking over the Republican party. Liars, and Obstructionists.

SIOUX CITY -- Once again, our incumbent congressman displays his disdain for the give and take that marks a functioning, healthy democratic process. By yet again arrogantly refusing to debate, he insults the intelligence of the citizens of Iowa’s 5th District, who deserve every opportunity to compare and contrast and then choose the best person to represent them.

1. It's up to Campbell to call him out
"Steve King refuses to debate me because he knows everything he tells you is a lie and that everything he's done while in office has failed."

That would do it.

20. Campbell asked him at his town hall meeting! (video)

At the end, a teabagger even says King should debate Campbell!

5. Matt Campbell should hold a debate with or without Steve King.
And if Steve King doesn't show-up, his part should be played by an actor who has been coached to answer the way Campbell's campaign believes Steve King would answer.

18. Oh my GOD, you would not believe the stuff that comes out of that mans mouth
and he still gets re-elected. We do have a lot of low information voters here, and once you get into office, I mean you can just do about anything you want.. and people keep re-electing you. They pull the lever for the familiar name

9. One must "earn" the "right" to debate the august Mr. King
And here I've heard all my life about how down-to-earth Iowans are. I wonder how Steve King's elitist attitude is justified in the minds of his constituents?

16. I grew up in that district and the only part of it that is mostly Democrat is
Sioux City itself. I lived in Osceola County and we Democrats seldom had anything to say about anything. I am not surprised they keep reelecting King - he is their kind of people. From personal experience the attitude is all too often - let them eat cake. Years ago our pug neighbor came calling at dinner time - collecting for CROP. If he would have taken two minutes to see what was on the table in front of him he would have seen that we were eating spaghetti with nothing on the noodles but butter. We had nothing else. Things did get better but it was no thanks to that area. I live in MN now and am thanking God for it.

and the only turn you can make is a right one ;) My husband is originally from Minnesota.. the Minneapolis area.. but you get up on that Iron Range and they give northwest Iowa a run for its money on being hard core right.. and Bachmann.. I swear it is something in the Missouri River.. Bachmanns district is exactly due north of Kings

14. Just more proof
why I don't believe things are going to change all that much after the Nov. elections unless Democrats stay home.
Refusing to debate doesn't add the additional support one needs when they are riding a partisan wave.
