Wow, CNBC REALLY doesn't want their precious rich-uns to have Clinton-era tax levels, do they? |
|
ALL fucking day, the subject lines, the "what ifs":
"Some Democrats say Keep Bush Tax Cuts"
"Extend Bush Tax Cuts for One Year?"
"Everyone making Up to 1M should get a tax cut"
AAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!
I hope to God our President, which I voted for thinking that he would do one, just ONE thing that offers progressives a glimmer of hope that he isn't just another pocket pen of the extremely wealthy, is NOT going to be influenced by these idiot DINOs and media jackals and keep these goddamned tax cuts any longer.
How many other ways can we appease the overprivileged rich? What are you people so afraid of? "They might nott create joobbbbbss . . " Uh, what's been the excuse the past 9 years, then? The only time they hired to meet the job churn was during and after Bewsh II's re-election year (2004-05). After that, it was downhill city for the American worker.
What say our faithful deficit hawks? 4 trillion added to the debt is worth it, just so long as you don't touch the Pentagon? Just so your precious rich aren't harmed in any way?
This issue really pisses me off. Nearly 10 years of letting the wealthy off easy inspired them to sit on the free cash while our debt exploded and unemployment skyrocketed. Can anyone in this administration take a strong progressive STAND on something? Can we have ONE INCH??? PLEASE???

It was funny seeing Erin Burnett look dumbfounded when the one guy for ending the Bush tax cuts tried to explain to her that if the tax cuts below $250,000 remained in effect the increased tax rate (from 33% to 39%) would only effect the amount made above $250,000.
She couldnt quite grasp it after being inundated by right wing demagoguery that it was an increase on all income amounts.

3. The thing that is really maddening is that so many middle and lower class |
|
Tea Baggers and Republicans aren't raising holy hell about it.
Tax cuts for millionaires haven't helped them any. A lot of them must be unemployed, and delaying those unemployment checks can't be popular to them. And yet they aren't raising hell! It's like, sure that's going to be harmful to me and my family, but take care of those millionaires!! Go GOP!!!
What, exactly, is wrong with these people?
:puke:

4. Some are actually supporting the extension of the Bewsh tax cuts . . . |
|
. . . because their beloved Faux told them that "tax's ur BAD!!!" I think part of their attractiveness to Joe TeaKlanner are their roots in instant gratification. They're happy if they get that MONEH!! but don't seem to get that a) it's one of the least effective ways to stimulate the economy and b) it's no substitute for a long-term, living-wage job.
Joe TeaKlanner is drugged by that instant gubmint cash, though, and nothing will change his mind.

5. And, they are in many cases, racists. |

Having a black family in the White House bugs the crap out of them. But still, to sacrifice your own well being to feed your hatred seems self-destructive.
I know some are just plain ignorant, too. I guess bigotry and ignorance are powerful and toxic when put together.
