Ridiculing Jan Brewer = Bad Karma |
|
I realize a lot of people on DU have back office jobs where you never have to give a speech or face the public.
But one day you might, and one day you may blank out and completely forget what you're saying. It can happen to anyone.
Say what you will about her policies, which suck. But don't revel in her misfortune, because next time it might be you.

agreed to appear in a public forum. It's not that hard.
You either have something written down.
Or you have it memorized.
If you really care about your 'performance'.
And, being the vindictive sort, I'm totally reveling in her unfortunately terrible preparation.

8. obviously you don't know about Brewer or Arizona |
|
so let me educate you on both and you will be embarrassed by starting this asinine thread. Jan has been in politics for decades which means she has had to run numerous campaigns which includes public speaking many times. That takes care of that first foolish statement.
Jan Brewer has had these type moments often in her long political career which if you will see includes a top congressional position, secretary of state. She actually up until a couple years ago gave news conferences chewing bubble gum while talking.
As for Arizona maybe I should refer you to the Arizona section here so you can read OUR thoughts and you can apologize to us for this stupid thread.

How's that :applause: oh by the way I have coached football which has public speaking, actually have had quite a number of public speaking jobs so park your foot in your mouth but please don't bite down.

As another poster pointed out, does that mean that we should back off Sarah Palin every time she puts her foot in her mouth? She we respect her and her years of public service, and merely disagree with her policies?

you are trying to sell rotten tomatoes as the best buy in town, and we aren't biting. I would suggest you study a little bit about our nit wit governor. Here are some of her best moments: My dad died fighting the nazis. Her dad died in 1955 and when she was confronted with that one she tried to turn it into her dad being patriotic, but the time table she lays out proved she was embellishing. I did cover it on my radio show and showed the impossible story. Then another one I can't recall right now and I challenged her on it, she refused to comment and acted like I never asked. Now the headless bodies thing months ago which finally caught up with her. So she is a con artist and a little advice, don't feel sorry for con artist, that is a fatal mistake sometimes.

...due to the fact I simply think you are wrong, and I do find Brewer's "performance" quite amusing.
And I do "get" the point you are trying to make, but I think it's kind of silly because most people don't usually, willingly get into situations where they are in WAY OVER their head, as is the case with Brewer.
Brewer is not qualified to be the Governor of Anything.
She is unfit for public office of any kind at any level.
She's a political opportunist, a racist/bigot, and a fascist.
The reason she blanked out was because she truly has no valid points to make when it comes to governing.
She's an ideologically-driven know-nothing with political power she doesn't deserve.
If the People of Arizona vote this teabagging freak in as Governor, they will deserve any and all negative consequences of whatever ill-conceived, racist, homophobic, dominionist, fascist/corporatist public policy she delivers for the "People" -- the "People" being, for example, the private prison corporations and their CEOs, not the actual Citizens of AZ.
I'm sorry for any Arizonians (? is that a word?) who oppose Brewer but must live under her reign of idiot tyranny, such as my old pal Bill, who used to be in a punk band in L.A., and had a cool punk label, back in the very early 80s, but now lives and runs a "record store" biz somewhere in AZ.

If you're the governor of a state and you're running for re-election, of if you want to be governor, you have to demonstrate your knowledge of the issues, your ability to present your ideas, and your skill at thinking on your feet. Failure to do any of these things well is fine if you're in the back office. It's not so fine if you're the governor of a state.

I'm so glad you think it's inappropriate to take joy from a racist charlatan's foibles.
Jan Brewer CHOSE a career in the public spotlight which requires her to ANSWER QUESTIONS.
She is CHOOSING to EVADE and IGNORE a relevant and simple question rather than just declaring she was misinformed. Simple, honorable, easy.
But it would contradict her divisive message of hate and bigotry to do the honorable and easy thing.
She's wholly unqualified for her position and should be mocked, ridiculed, derided and shamed until she slithers away in complete embarrassment like the slug excrement she is.
