What Dems have going for us is that Rethugs are so wigged out they don't even trust each other |

Anyone else notice that? Always trying to steal, rip off and smear each other every chance they get. Ever seen that happen? Its a thing of beauty. That is why when you see one on TV they stick to set written out talking points issued by someone. They never stray. Like effing robots if you notice? Even Palin knows one wrong word and the long knives from her own party come out. Ron Paul strayed and the next thing he knew he was under "self imposed", house arrest.
I think we should exploit this fatal flaw they have every chance we get.

they all claim to be Christians but refuse the teaching of Christ. Look, I'm no raving bible maniac, but it doesn't take much to see that they all say one thing and do another. So calling them on it is how you rattle them, and it will, I can tell you from experience, rattle them real bad. All it takes is a simple reply, "well, what did Jesus tell us to do about that?" That will stop them in their tracks, and the next sentence will always be a string of stalls, denials, dodges, etc. And attempts to blame you for even bringing it up. To which all you have to say is, "All I am doing is telling you what the Bible says. Jesus did not tell you to do that and you know it. So why are you denying Jesus?" It helps to have a few quotes from Matthew 7 at hand, like 1-5, but this will stop them.
This is the Achilles' heel of the wingnuts. They all think they are such good Christians, so make them live by it. Call them on it. Force their noses into their hypocrisy. Act like a tent preacher, too.
They use lock step talking points, we need to do this in lockstep. Imagine if Beck & Rush had to answer that question on the air "What did Jesus tell us to do about that?" And we all started to use this single sentence, in lock step...

It will either kill them, cure them or change them.
You deserve a Nobel for that!
Now, how to fix the Democrats?

4. Tea party candidates are booting out the old guard, |

and the old guard are running as independents, thus splitting the rights vote.

6. In blue or purple states, perhaps |
|
But in red ones, the tea partiers are succeeding. They'll be a force to reckon with by the time the Rethugs sit down for their 2012 convention. Just like the way that the country-clubbers and the fundies have made common cause with each other in the past, the tea party and the old guard establishment will probably work things out by then.
Their mutual dislike for President Obama will be the superglue that finally binds them together.

12. The establishment Rethugs |
|
will teach the tea partiers how to 'talk nice', just like they were able to rein in the religious right every once in awhile, at least in the few months before an election. The independents will not be as scared of the repackaged Repuke party as they were of a third Bush term with Gramps.

3. But how does that bring Democrats to the polls? |
|
Tell you what. Let's see something actively liberal that demonstrates a legislative and executive SPINE.
What exactly is supposed to be gained by snide remarks and outright insults to liberals from this administration?

5. That's exactly the problem |

The voice of this administration has become Rahm Emanuel's voice.
Obama is a smart man. You'd think he'd wise up to who and what this guy is and what kind of damage he's doing.

but I'm beginning to wonder about that. Providing legitimacy and political cover for Republicans, which is the de facto effect of his mindless bipartisanship, strikes me as one of the great political blunders of all time. Obama has almost single-handedly brought the GOP back from the grave.

13. Yeah, but they grit their teeth and vote for their candidates anyway |
|
Because they value being in power above those disagreements.
Unlike so many on our side, who'd rather stay home and pout.
