2. Oh, you betcha.
That bank in Kabul will help small businesses here in America get loans to hire people. They're gonna do low interest mortgages, too.

Things are gonna be grand, just you wait and see. Change is comin'... :eyes:

3. We are NOT bailing them out. Our treas. dept. is aiding them, but
our money is not part of the deal. Reading the article helps.

***UPDATE*** The Times has updated their story with comments from U.S. Treasury officials insisting that no American money will be used to recapitalize the Kabul Bank: "'No American taxpayer funds will be used to support Kabul Bank,' said Jenni LeCompte, a Treasury Department spokeswoman."

The U.S. says it will not finance a rescue of Kabul Bank. "No U.S. taxpayer funds will be used to support Kabul Bank," said a spokeswoman for the U.S. Treasury, Marti Adams.


I don't see how allowing the bank to fail would be wise policy.

8. We've allowed over 100 American banks to fail this year.
That's the way capitalism is supposed to work.
