Poll question: Does this Administration Really Support American Workers?
Edited on Sat Sep-04-10 05:50 PM by ShamelessHussy
Considering that Obama's Labor day weekend, public address doesn't even mention the word "unions" even once, and considering what we have experienced over the past 1 1/2 years, I have to vote no.

But how does this admin expect to win elections if it doesn't support their base?

Why hasn't any of the banksters that have raped our economy been held to account?

Why do we continue to bail out the banksters, even overseas?

8. Democratic Party of 2010 is not the Party of 1950.
Edited on Sat Sep-04-10 06:36 PM by howaboutme
To be honest I don't really see the DLC/Democratic Party of 2010 as supporting American workers except for lip service. The Party is ambivalent towards average working Americans. If they did support labor they would have passed card check last year. Their game is now about big money from big lobbyists and donors and that is Wall Street. The Republicans are beholden to the US Chamber of Commerce. That leaves American workers out in the cold.

Ever since the Democratic Party of Bill Clinton participated in the destruction of organized labor in the private sector with passing NAFTA,GATT and WTO and other trade pacts. It was a trade off for the declining political power of unions for the money of Wall Street and the likes of Goldman Sachs.

Good article on this. http://www.nolanchart.com/article368.html

Tell me I'm wrong.

13. Not to mention continuing wars.
Maybe that does provide employment though - maybe that's the plan.

15. Sad to have to say 'no'. The way they've treated teachers
is even worse than the Bush administration, eg. Bailing out big banks, while ignoring small businesses and people losing their homes etc. etc.

18. No, but a kick in the Groin sure beats the stab in the back you get from Repugs!
Edited on Sun Sep-05-10 05:41 AM by JCMach1

i.e. with a kick in the groin you only feel like you are dying from the action... it won't actually kill you and you can live to fight another day.

Repugs will just kill you dead.
