It's No Longer "Breaking News" When a News Organization Repeats Itself that Dems Will Lose Congress.
Edited on Sat Sep-04-10 10:02 PM by David Zephyr
When every news outlet, be it television, radio, printed media or whatever, repeats the same mantra that the Democrats are going to lose big in November...when they repeat their own story ad infinitum, ad nauseum, then it is no longer "news". It's just recycled Pablum.

How many times can the same story be considered "news"?

Jeez. Talk about the echo chamber. Is there such a thing as an original news story in this country anymore?

I guess this Sunday, and then the Sunday after that, and the Sunday after that all the talking heads will be dutifully predicting their "new" insight that the Democrats will lose the House and/or Senate in November.

Is that the only thing that these hair-sprayed, bronzer-smeared, mirror-loving freaks can come up with? Repeating the same friggin' story over and over with breathlessness.

14. No, they aren't Reporting news, they are trying to create it.
They are trying to to be public relations firms without telling the public this.

They want to influence the public's opinions and decisions, for the benefit of their corporate owners and their advertisers of course, but maintain the illusion that they are somehow neutral.

17. They want to elect the GOP. I guess all democrats had to do was just sit back
not do anything, let everything go off the cliff, vote "NO!" all the time and we would be shoe-ins.

until election.

The "News" people have a vested interest, i.e., their present low tax rate. You are talking about tens of millions of dollars, not chicken feed.

wishful thinking. They are always fucking wrong anyway.

4. If we lose, as sick as it makes me to even think about that
I believe it has been our two years of bad tactics in the Congress that is killing us most. And there are those in the White House who are not helping much.

5. It's all they have!
They have "NO" plan, they have "NO" record of doing anything to help out the crisis we are in, they have "NO" ideas but to go back to the Bush years, and they have "NO" clue as to how to run the government, all they will do is stall it, or as they have said already they will "STOP" it period!

NO, all they have is trying to scare democrats into staying home by painting the election as "hopeless" for democrats! The trolls have been out in full force all over the internet, here included, spreading the "doom and gloom" tactic, the same one they have used so many times in the past. Now if democrats are gullible enough to buy into this BS, they might just be able to get back in power, but if democrats stop listening to the "doom and gloom" message, and realize that going back to the Bush years is going to make things worse, then the right will lose, and isn't that the idea, to keep the morons from taking us back to what we had for 8 years with Bush?

8. I wish it were only opinion, but it's cycled into "news" stories.
Here's the latest example of how they do it as a "news" story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_election_overview

9. Like A Typical Frank Lutz Talking Point - Repeat Ad Nauseam Until It Gains Acceptance
If death panels could gain traction, and financial reform as a bailout could stick, why not simply repeat over and over again that Republicans will gain control of Congress.

13. That's the only way the Thugs will win.
They cannot win a fair election so they have to engage in hate and election theft.
