His name was Kevin Carter. He chased the vulture off and won the Pulitzer Prize for the photo. He killed himself about a year after he shot the photo.

I just emailed my entire address book, something I've never done before. In the subject line I wrote "All you need to know about what's wrong". I did not include any message, but attached the pic you posted.

I had not seen it before. It moved me to tears.


Do you have a link where it's posted online? I regularly blog on another site, one dominated by people who mistakenly believe the right has their best interests at heart. I'm sure I'm going to want to be able to post it.

The Bill Hicks quote is on the money. I'm a fan, and have heard it in one of his routines. Bill's caustic satire always appealed to me.
