Should America's Rich Be Drug Tested In Order To Receive Welfare
If you have spent any time on Facebook with people who are not politically like-minded, you have probably seen these two oft-repeated memes:

"If you can afford alcohol and cigarettes, you don't need food stamps"
"If I have to pass a drug test to work, you should have to take one to receive welfare"

Lest all of us forget here at DU...only the rich are allowed to experience joy. Poverty should be a joyless 80-100 hour a week punishment. The fact that Jesus blessed the poor while preaching on the mount should be sufficient reward.......but I digress.

Soom, a barrage of TV advertisements will be launched at all of us. It will drill into our heads the absolute horror that will befall America if the Bush tax cuts are not extended for people like Donald Trump, the Walton Family, and Lovey and Thurston Howell.

So that set me to doing some web surfing, and I found this oldie but goodie:

"Take the Rich Off Welfare" by Mark Zepezauer

1. Yes, and they should pay thousands of dollars out of pocket for their drug tests.

4. Get the sales records of Lexus dealers. Make all buyers pee in the bottle.
Use credit card records to find folks who spent more than ____ dollars in a restaurant. Make 'em pee in the bottle.

Either that or rescind their GWB taxcuts retroactively. All amount payable within 30 (thirty) days. Interest and penalties to accrue after the due date.

It's called justice.

5. Here in Silicon Valley I know of only 2-3 that would pass.
The primary drug of choice is pot out here.

The truly creative and brilliant I know are potheads.

Not all are among the truly rich, but a few certainly are.

At least none are on corporate welfare - it hasn't been extended to those that actually produce one of our only exports - technology.

9. I'd say crashing the economy qualifies as such.
The national economy is about as heavy machinery as they come. I'd love it...the Whiz Squad shows up at the NYSE with paper cups for all the traders.

11. I think every CEO and billionaire she
be tested before they are allowed to associate with the average American. We don't have a test for crooks, haters and racist or I would suggest we start with each tea bag and republican in this country. Wouldn't that make a difference.
