DNC chairman: Dems have helped the economy 'turn a corner'
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/campaign-committees/117259-kaine-democrats-have-helped-the-economy-turn-a-corner

Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine said Democratic candidates should be proud to run on the party's economic record this fall, brushing aside concerns that both chambers of Congress could fall to Republican control.

Speaking on "Fox News Sunday," the former Virginia governor said the Obama administration has helped the U.S. economy "turn the corner" after nearly a decade of irresponsible fiscal policies, pointing to statistics that show the country's GDP numbers are growing.

"After nearly 20 months in a row of private-sector job losses, we've gained jobs in the private sector for eight months in a row," Kaine told Fox News host Chris Wallace. "There were some net losses over the summer because the Census phased out. But we have the private sector growing again... We've had a net turnaround from negative to positive. It's clear that we have a long way to go, but we've just got to keep at this. We are climbing out of the ditch."

Kaine confirmed reports that President Obama plans to announce a package of stimulus legislation this week, and pointed to a bill to boost small businesses that has stalled in the Senate as proof that Democrats are trying to overcome GOP obstruction to jump-start the economy. The bill would increase lending options for small businesses and cut their capital gains taxes.

1. Tax cuts? More RW failure? They are proud of that? Incredible.

2. What's Kaine doing on Fox?
I don't watch Fox Noise, so I don't know all of what Kaine said ... but how many Repuglicans, teabaggers and right-wing nuts do you think Kaine persuaded to vote Democratic by being on that show?

But, now Fox Noise can keep claiming that they 'present' both sides.

It looks like the DNC is still in diplomacy mode while the other side is engaged in total warfare.

3. So Tim Kaine finally slithered out from under the rock he's been hiding under.
This must be his once monthly statement, before he goes into seclusion again.

Put him back in his hole, cover it up, and beg Howard Dean to come back and fix this mess Kaine has created.

5. I remember all those corners we turned
during *co's years and each corner turned led to yet another disaster. I was hoping we wouldn't be running blindly down the corridor any more, but sadly, here we are at yet another corner.

6. I'm pretty sure this message needs a bit of refining
When new unemployment figures are released showing an increase, it's probably not a good idea to tell people we made it all possible.

I doubt the small business stimulus plan resonates with the voters either. Banks aren't going to suddenly start giving failing businesses loans and cutting capital gains taxes doesn't create jobs, particularly since most of us don't pay capital gains taxes anyway.
