2. That is exactly what they and the MSM are doing
trying to set up the polls to reflect a republican win. Get this. I belong to the Zoogby poll. Now I get this email asking me to take a survey. I do. I go thru and of course I am going to vote for a Democrat, I am a Democrat etc then you have a opinion space as to what you would tell a politician...I go thru and tell them I don't trust republicans. They are the cause of the mess etc etc and I wish they would vote them all out of office. Then it say 44% of the poll is over and ask who I would vote for. Mark Dayton, Emmer etc. I click Dayton and all of a sudden it comes up and ERROR THAT I HAVE TAKEN THIS POLL BEFORE. NOT. NO WAY. NEVER DID. BUT IT CUT ME OFF. You know why I didn't praise and vote for republicans.

8. You bet.
Every time we let them get away with it, they steal elections on a grander scale. 'Course when the MSM helps by giving them credibility, that's kind of hard to beat.

9. Let's face facts...
The majority of Republican and Democratic politicians are in bed with the corporations. They've
got quite the game going on--and it's not called democracy.

The Democrats are in quite a fix right now. They have majorities in both the House and the Senate.
Why...they should be passing their Democratic agenda with such ease! But they're not. And they're
tired of explaining and rationalizing why nothing gets done--or if it does get done, that it doesn't
reflect the Democratic party (e.g. healthcare bill).

Our government needs to be divided--to give the appearance of chaos and difficulty in passing ANY
agenda--besides the pro-corporate, neocon baloney that is the ONLY thing those politicians are
interested in.

So yes, it is all ready written. Republicans will sweep the 2010 elections. I'm through being
shocked and surprised and writing post-election posts that detail freakish and unfair election
shenanigans. The fix is in. It has been in for a while.

The only shining spot out of any of this--is that the tea baggers will be schooled after the election--
just like we're being schooled now. With their whopping majority--they'll expect everything to go
their way; abortion to be outlawed, gay marriage stopped, an end to the government catering to
corporate America. They'll get none of it.

Pretty soon, everyone will be angry--and it will be time for a revolution. But, uh oh, if we do
speak out against the government, we can be detained indefinitely and be declared enemy combatants
and tortured.

Yup. The fix is not only in--it's on. Depressing, I know. But ignoring this reality isn't helpful either.

15. We got some great legislation out of the House. It was fucked up in the Senate because
there are too many Republicans there. Our "majority" in the senate was Razor thin. Basically our majority = Leiberman and Ben Nelson. Who were all too willing to play along with the Republicans.

28. But the dismal performance...
Edited on Mon Sep-06-10 04:02 PM by CoffeeCat
is by design. We all wonder why our Dems don't fight, or why they appear
to cave to the Republicans--even when we have the upper hand with our majorities.
We scratch our heads, knowing that the Republicans would never cave like that.

The truth is--corporate Dems and Reps are working the same plan. They're
serving the corporations who have handsomely contributed to their campaigns
(and most likely given them under-the-table gifts too).

Republican neocons have been on board for a long time. It took the Dems longer,
but they are there. They are serving their corporate masters.

Our Dems aren't lazy or weak or the victims of bullying. They know exactly
what they are doing. They might play confused and weak; or exasperated by
the legislative process, "passing healthcare reform is sooo hard!". That's
just all part of the facade.

I think there is an active and deliberate attempt, on the part of Democrats,
to discourage Democrats, especially the base of the party. Just look at
Gibbs' comments about Progressives "needing medication" and his remarks
that were clear jabs in the face to the very base who volunteered and voted
Obama in. Why would Gibbs do this? It wasn't a slip. These comments
were made during a magazine intervie; not in a live television interview
or with a newspaper reporter on a tight deadline. There was plenty of time for Gibbs
to strike the comments or re-word what he said. His words were deliberate
and intended to piss off the base. Why else would this happen so close to an
election?

The powers that be--together with the MSM want one message clear going into
this election--that the Republican base is whipped up and ready like hell to
vote and that the Dems are dispirited, don't care and less likely to go to the
polls. This posturing will ensure more Republican votes and fewer Dems at the
polls--but it also provides a meme when the vote switching/fraud/other shennanigans
happen. They've got it all figured out.

So tired of the kabuki theater.

It's the same inevitability tactic the Rethugs used on the MSM to help market Bush's Gulf Wars.

12. Interesting, I didn't think the 'theft' talk
would start until the day after the election. Repukes were doing it after Obama got elected, too.

Why not just accept the fact that the parties change power because of a mushy middle that has no principles, no convictions, no real knowledge of anything, and just votes for whichever party scares them the least on Election Day?

16. I don't believe it is "theft" - I beleive it is a concerted effort to make Democrats stay home.
Teabags are going to be out in full force.

The Republican's best strategy is to tell Dem voters that they have won already. In order to get Dem voters to think it is a waste of time to vote. Media plays right along,

They try this again and again.

But we saw this with the Alvin Greene election just a couple of months ago, when things don't go peoples' way, they just say that someone 'stole' the election by manipulation of voting machines.

Lower voter turnout, and R's will win.
