Say it aint so. Bible Spice rumoured to be launching her Presidential run on September 11
Glenn Beck is about to stage a "mysterious" event at Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage on September 11, 2010, and Sarah Palin reportedly will be his special guest.

Therefore, why not exploit another anniversary after MLK day? Rumors are flying about what could happen at this event. For example, Holly Croft, who is a staff member of Republican AK Congressman Don Young, twittered about a day ago:

#Rumors are flying in #AK that @SarahPalinUSA will announce her #candidcacy for #president at Glenn Beck's 9/11 rally in #Wasilla. #Palin

I doubt the Queen of Quit will actually start her run as early as September. I doubt that even she will want to take the attention off the Republicans Congressional race. However exploiting 9/11 for her own purposes. Right up her street.

1. If they did, it would be to add noise for 2010 campaign.

2. The old core Republicans will swat her down as fast as they are
the newbie in Delaware. She'd be out before she even got started. I hope she does announce though, perhaps that will be the beginning of the end for her.

Hardly the model of fair and balanced.

4. Although I wouldn't put it beyond her to do it in such a craven and cynical way...
... it would be complete idiocy to declare two years away from an election. It would essentially give everyone even thinking about running for the Repuke ticket a chance to take shots at her for at least a year before they declare.

6. Candidate Obama and Hillary launched their campaign in
January 2007. So although it would be early it would not be massively early.

5. It would give the media a year and a half to play every clip of every screwup
Sarah Palin has ever made. The debate would be: "Is she qualified to be President?" That's the debate we WANT to have.

7. And though Beckkkerhead
poo-pooed the idea of running for president, he wasn't asked (and therefore didn't deny) any ambition of being a running mate. Whoot. A Palin-Beck ticket. Now there's a dream team.

doing.

Geez...every name selling a book has done this...Trump, Gingrich, and Hillary in 2003. People are in place to fan these rumors and the person who DOES expect to run eventually uses it to push the PARTY for its support of their candidacy.

finances on a regular basis once she declares? She operates best when secretive.

So not way too early. Just a disgraceful abuse of 9/11 if she does.

13. We've been hearing that rumor here for a couple of months.
I and some of my rowdy friends will be at the Dena'ina Center next Saturday, signs in hand, for a rousing protest. Considering we brought out about 2,000 to protest SP right after her nomination for VP, we should be able to garner quite a crowd. I'll post pictures.

14. I pray this is true. That would mean all of the Repuke candidates would
have to tack hard right and make themselves look like crazy tea partiers. The independents would leave in droves and the moderate repubs couldn't pull the lever for Palin/Beck. This would be
a dream come true. Can you imagine the incoherent debates???

19. Andy Griffith is a democrat, of course
Mayberry--the fantasy-- was a lot classier than right-wing America is today. Its real-world counteepart, Mt. Airy, NC, is I believe in weird Virginia Foxx (R)'s district, but I doubt they're all as nuts as she is.

I'm just not comfortable with "Mayberry" becoming claimed by the RW or anti-RW. Overtly sexist and subtly racist as it was, it still showed values such as charity, responsibility for one's neighbor, and the benefits of public education, which Fox network anchors would mock today.

16. Palin is uneducated and intellectually lazy but she is not an idiot

She knows where the money is and she knows that she can't out debate a chipmunk.

She has seen that Rush Limbaugh has made more money than George Bush and worked a couple of hours a day.

She is going to be a professional celebrity. She is going to make lots of money but she is never going to run for office again.

She is going to have lots of rumors and feints because that is good for business.

BTW Bristol is going to be on Dancing with the Stars.

For the Palins, business is good.

21. I somewhat agree with you.
She is however only famous because she is a possible Presidential Candidate, she ends her long past 15 minutes of fame when she is no longer running. On the flip side she loses that money she generates for being a celebrity as soon as she announces.

A quandary for her.

25. being a potential candidate helps her but Limbaugh has made hundreds of
millions and no one thinks that he is a candidate for anything.

Being a gadfly on the right is good business always has been. For 58 years Phyliss Schlafly has been picking up big checks for the same 15 minute bullshit.

22. Why settle for president?
Why just not declare her the next annointed one and move on - let the kooks have their holy one and let washilia be their holy land -

If they do this they will be celebrating a premature annunciation and premature things use end up being more disappointing than they are satisfying.

26. "Exploratory Committee"
Too soon to declare...especially if you're a perceived front runner, but not too soon to milk the suckers out of a few more bucks. She can announce she's forming a "committee" to explore the possibilities of a run...thus being able to beg for bucks. Also she has another "book" coming out to promote...it'll be a grifter's christmas.

But it would allow her to be introduced as "Presidential Hopeful Sarah Palin!" when she's in the Dancing With the Stars audience.
