Imagine if you will, a country, run by President McCain and Vice President Palin. Imagine where we would be now?
Please post what you think would be happening in that parallel world (if there were such a thing)Post your predictions of how things would have gone.. had those idiots been SELECTED to office.

1. Government stopped abruptly |

And McCain and the Republicans would have walked away, the job completed.

As one comedian very succinctly put it, Obama has been working very hard to Implement all of McCain's Campaign Promises.
The wars, Health care, Patriot Act, Free Trade, Etc...
On a hell of a lot of issues we ARE seeing McCain's Presidency.

9. I think it would have been worse then the Bush Era.. |
|
I could imagine DU being a full year of Screams far worse then what is going on now. We had to vote for Change, because there was no alternative. Just like we have to keep pushing the White House, Congress and the House to put though those things we were once promised.

The cast changes, the theater ownership doesn't, imo.

You don't think under McCain we would have been in a third war, by now? (bomb, bomb Iran) Under McCain Palin we would probably have troops on the Mexican and Canadian Border. I think we would be FAR, far, far worse off had those two been in office. The health care issue would not even exist, the BP disaster would have become worse, perhaps even ignored by the news. There were so many things that could have gone the other way, had the Republicans been in power.

14. My reason for coming to this conclusion is that McCain is far less connected |
|
than Junior was. We really are just a much bigger Guatemala. There is an oligarchy here who decides these things. McCain isn't as close to them as the torture president was.
By the same token, they define the area that Obama works in.
We really aren't exceptional. We're like every other country on the planet.

11. We would be well on our way to 1950 |
|
It would be illegal to be non white or non Christian. Children (white ones) would be required to carry guns and the curriculum would include firing range practice and prayer on school grounds. Summer camp would include hunting and dressing the kill.
Internationally we would have escalated the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and we would be at war with Iran, North Korea, Venezuela and Cuba just for the hell of it. We would have used our first nuclear bomb in nearly 60 years on the Mexican side of the border in Arizona. All militia volunteers would be paid per illegal foreign head they submitted.
I could go on but it's just too depressing, because all civil rights would be rescinded and it would be illegal to speak anything but American English. Teachers who would be too nit picky about spelling and stuff would be fired. Who needs them anyway. The Ten Commandments and Crosses would be required in all government buildings and in the Oval Office in the White House. Non Christian foreigners would not be allowed into the country because everyone knows they're terrorists, and Sarah Palin doesn't understand them when they taulk anyway. If the rest of the world didn't do what we say then we'll drop a nuclear bomb or two on them. That would teach them we mean bizness.

That's allegedly why all the RW policy was passed. If that's the case, what difference does it make?
