Righthaven goes after Sharron Angle for Copyright Violation - $150,000 & domain name
Edited on Sun Sep-05-10 07:12 PM by RamboLiberal
The Las Vegas Review-Journal’s copyright infringement lawsuit partner on Friday sued U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle over R-J material posted on her website, allegedly without authorization.

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in Las Vegas by Righthaven LLC, seeks damages of $150,000 against Angle personally and forfeiture of her website domain name sharronangle.com.

The Democratic Party of Nevada, which has also been sued by Righthaven, charged in an Aug. 23 press release that the Review-Journal had a double standard to “hold Angle harmless while suing the Democratic Party and progressive organizations.”

People have been wondering how those b******* had missed her up to now. Probably be the only time I feel any sympathy for Angle.

For those who somehow missed it, Righthaven the copyright troll sued DU as well as 115+ others.

2. What Righthaven is doing reminds me of those companies
...that buy up patents and then sue people for violating them. Their business model is based solely on intimidation and litigation and (no doubt) making a killing off settlements.

3. Righthaven has managed to make me feel sorry for Sharron Angle.
I didn't think that was possible. Hope a class action lawsuit eventually puts Righthaven out of business.

5. The only reason I felt sorry for Angle
Is that Righthaven is viler than Angle.

IMHO "tne law" is a bit vague on this kind of copyright violation and how Righthaven is playing it. Remember DU is also being sued by these money-grubbing jerks.
