via spokesman - Bush 41 says he "strongly believes in the mission" of Sun Myung Moon
Edited on Thu May-17-07 11:54 AM by Cell Whitman
At the link scroll down about 2/3 of the way for Part 3 Bush 41 believes in Moon’s "mission."
He said it through a spokesperson a few years ago. You have to read the info at the link to understand how.

http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/5/16/132518/654

George H. W. Bush 41, who "strongly believes in the mission" of Sun Myung Moon, will help the conservative movement and Bush family’s sugar daddy promote two major deceptions when the former president is scheduled to give the keynote address at the Washington Times 25th anniversary bash this Thursday, May 17.

Judging by a similar event held 5 years ago, we can expect Bush and other speakers to promote the frame that the Washington Times is somehow "independent" of Moon and his plans to manipulate the political direction of America as part of his long sought goal to subdue the planet. The speakers will also, as Dr. Laura did five years ago when she toasted Moon and his propaganda unit, peddle the idea that somehow, almost miraculously, the paper has survived despite it critics.

Both of these views are misleading and we will show why below the fold. As a bonus we will document that Bush’s own spokesperson has stated that Bush 41, who has repeatedly sold the name, honor and prestige of the Presidency of the United States to Moon, "strongly believes in the mission" of Sun Myung Moon.

George speaks in August of 1996 in the USA - celebrating the Unification Church changing its name to the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification.

Bush helps Moon open the "Washington Times" south in Argentina

41 and bar greet Mrs. Moon and longtime Moon aid, Bo Hi Pak, at the Tokyodome during Bush's shilling tour for Moon in 1995. Moon wasn't there, he is not allowed into Japan.

Moon's "mission"?

from Robert Parry's latest:
http://www.consortiumnews.com/2007/051607.html

Yet, Moon also made clear that his longer-range goal was the destruction of the U.S. Constitution and America's democratic form of government.

"History will make the position of Reverend Moon clear, and his enemies, the American population and government will bow down to him," Moon said, speaking of himself in the third person. "That is Father's tactic, the natural subjugation of the American government and population."

Moon - more than ANYONE - is the force behind the Republican's move hard right and theocratic.

Just wondering if this is the first time he has admitted his association...

Edited on Thu May-17-07 04:23 PM by HypnoToad
Some of the media out there claims Republicans are FLOCKING to Hillary.

So, what has Hillary done in the last 14 years to prompt this change, given they branded her a communist so often?

The media's a strange beastie...

(Edited: I think her plan was unveiled in 1994. Not 1993.)

6. Well, 41 is consistent if anything. His father, he, and his son would
benefit financially so much more without the nuisance of a federal Constitution and democracy to thwart their quest. If he utilizes Moon for this "mission", so be it. It's all the same ends no matter what the means are.

10. Crowned Messiah in the Senate Dirksen Building. Arranged by Sen. Warner, VA.

http://dir.salon.com/story/news/feature/2004/06/21/moon/index.html

Hail to the Moon king

The deeply weird coronation of Rev. Sun Myung Moon in a Senate office building -- crown, robes, the works -- is no longer one of Washington's best-kept secrets.

By John Gorenfeld

NothingJune 21, 2004 | You probably imagine your congressman hard at work in the Capitol debating legislation, making laws -- you know, governing. But your newspaper probably didn't tell you that one night in March, members of Congress hosted a crowning ritual for an ex-convict and multibillionaire who dressed up in maroon robes and declared himself the Second Coming.

On March 23, the Dirksen Senate Office Building was the scene of a coronation ceremony for Rev. Sun Myung Moon, owner of the conservative Washington Times newspaper and UPI wire service, who was given a bejeweled crown by Rep. Danny K. Davis, D-Ill. Afterward, Moon told his bipartisan audience of Washington power players he would save everyone on Earth as he had saved the souls of Hitler and Stalin -- the murderous dictators had been born again through him, he said. In a vision, Moon said the reformed Hitler and Stalin vouched for him, calling him "none other than humanity's Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent."

To many observers, this bizarre scene would have looked like the apocalypse as depicted in "Left Behind" novels. Moon, 84, the benefactor of conservative foundations like the American Family Coalition -- who served time in the 1980s for tax fraud and conspiracy to obstruct justice -- has views somewhere to the right of the Taliban's Mullah Omar. Moon preaches that gays are "dung-eating dogs," Jews brought on the Holocaust by betraying Jesus, and the U.S. Constitution should be scrapped in favor of a system he calls "Godism" -- with him in charge. The man crowned "King of Peace" by congressmen once said, according to sermons reprinted in his church's Unification News: "Suppose I were to hit you with the baseball bat to stop you, bloodying your ear and breaking a bone or two, yet still you insisted on doing more work for Father."

14. I've never understood that whole event.
Moon is a serious threat to this country....I am more concerned with this guy's undermining our Constitution than I am of an Al Qaeda attack. These Republicans have a very odd relationship to Moon and I think we really ought to be investigating his cnnection to Bush and the Republican Party. I'm sure it's about $ and lots of it.

20. There has to be a big financial side to this. I also believe that there are members of
Congress that are original Moonies. Indoctrinated years ago and made to go into politics.

Also, I don't know if you're aware of it. Papa Bush seemed to hook up with Rev. Moonie right after the Franklin Scandal broke in the Washington Times. Amazingly the story disappeared quite quickly... So what about blackmail and money?

23. I am aware and I think you might be on to something.
George Senior was never a religious guy and this relationship always struck me as quite odd. I do believe that the story they broke, then buried has lots to do with it. I suspect that there was much, much more that didn't get published....and Moon has that safely stored away. Who knows? Could be still using it to keep George, Jr. on a short leash with regards to his interests.

Moon's crowning was in the New York Times. Come on freepers, explain it away!!!!! I believe Moon thinks he's the new messiah, because afterall, Jesus didn't get it right!! So, how do you like the influence of someone who believes that their agenda is the total destruction of our country? The total destruction of our Constitution, our democracy-to be replaced by a corporate, religious totalitarian regime. I'm keeping my tin foil hat on tight:tinfoilhat: This is beyond political partisanship-beyond being Democratic or Republican--I do believe Goldwater is turning in his grave!!!!

Is the American Freedom Coalition which links to the Reason Magazine online the same one referred to in the article from Frontline? Or are there two or more of them, and one died out or something. It was funded partially by Moon.

It has Libertarian connections now. May have changed.

26. In Moon's day, people who said they believed in him were called 'cultists'. What happened?
And what happens if Americans do not bow down? Do unto us what Cortez did unto Mexicans?

BTW: Why does Moon speak to himself in the 3rd person ala Bob Dole, and more importantly: What are Moon's values toward the American people, who currently live and abide by the Constitution (albeit in varying amounts)?

32. There are two types of people..
there are the ones that age gracefully and don't fear the reaper.

And then there are the other ones...

Who have lived a questionable life, who fear the unknown because due to a life being a complete control nut, they can't control the finally conclusion. They live in fear of judgment, whether real or imagined.
So they resort to all sorts of bizarre ways to make sure that they get a seat next to god in the end. But deep down they know they are fucked no matter what they do. So they flail around in their last days trying to find some sort of answer to the unanswerable.

We live, we die and we fill the middle up with stuff. It's up to us how we fill up the middle.
