What would be sweeter...?
Edited on Mon Sep-06-10 05:56 PM by kentuck
..than to see the Republicans and the mainstream media choke on their words the day after election?
The media is pushing the story that it is going to be a "wave" election - they just don't know how big the wave is going to be. They get guests on their shows that will validate their polls.

What would be sweeter than to see John Boehner take his seat as Minority Leader after all the votes are counted? What would they say? What would be their excuse?

It is not impossible. The President came out with a fiery populist speech today and nothing gets voters emotionally involved in an election like a good old dose of populism. And when voters are emotionally involved, they tend to vote in larger numbers. And they tend to vote for Democrats. If the President continues this type of speech-making for the next several weeks, it will demoralize a lot of Tea Baggers and diminish the Republican turnout by a lot, in my opinion.

It would be sweet...

Doesn't that bring a smile to your face?

:-)

1. And he can do it too. We saw him go non-stop for 2 years and handily win
The man can speechify like no other and it he pushes things like the new infrastructure and train restoration jobs stimulus he'll be winning hearts all over again.

2. What I liked the best was his not skimming over the jobs/unemployment
problem. He stated exactly what people say in their homes. He was very upfront and laid it out. I was also glad to see "Bob" his SS guy with him today. Bob's eyes are focused on the waist area as the Pres. walks down the row. For some reason or other that fascinates me. Of course we know what he's looking for but his attention to the little things is very impressive. Sorry, didn't mean to ramble. "Bob" fascinates me....sigh.

3. And he said this more clearly than he has before:
"... Now, the plain truth is, there’s no silver bullet or quick fix to the problem. Even when I was running for this office, we knew it would take time to reverse the damage of a decade’s worth of policies that saw a few folks prosper while the middle class kept falling behind – and it will take more time than any of us wants to dig out of the hole created by this economic crisis."

5. Love "Bob". The Notre Dame speech where "Bob" was the only person on stage not clapping but wearing
the cap & gown like a member of the Notre Dame staff was the best - First reaction, whose the asshole? Second reaction, oh, it's Bob. Third reaction - LOL, the not clapping is not helping him stay inconspicuous. It made Bob stand out like a sore thumb on the stage.

7. Nope. Being the only one with a cap
only made him stand out more. Probably had to wear it to help conceal his earpiece?
