candidates, or at least most of them, blaming the disinterested voters in their dist. or their State on THE PRESIDENT? I was just listening to King on CNN. He's interviewing some people in Pgh. Pa. and one after another say I don't think I'm going to bother to vote, ecause I'm just not interested! Isn't that the job of their LOCAL REP to stimulate interest? They all say they need all this $$ because they eed to advertise to their voters or they can't win. What the hell are they doing with al that $$? I keep hearing King saying "the President hasnt gottn his message out!" Well, apparently neither have the eople in Congress!
I'm sure o politician but damn I would get my butt out into neighborhoods and football games, and all the other group gatherings I could find and speak to the voters. Remind them just how bad things were for EIGHT F"ING YEARS! I'd explain all the things I voted for to help THEM but th damn Pubs kept stopping my good intentions in the Senate!
It's NOT all the President's fault!!!

3. SHARE YES, but the media is blaming the President totally! |
|
Not even the hosts on MSNBC are blaming the Pubs for stopping almost everything in the Senate! Thre are hundres of bills that have passe the House then went to the Senate and died!
I know Rachel had a great program where she sent through the long list of the Dems accomplishments. I HOPE they play it again before November.
The only people I ever hear that really tell itlike t is are the few liberal radio host, and they are so outgunned by the RW on radio & TV, they're like little voices in a hurricane!

2. You're right, but I think the media you're seeing has an agenda... |
|
Still, congress people and others would do well to work more cohesively to get the message out.

.. if you are the GENERAL, the troops are UNDER YOUR COMMAND and you LIVE AND DIE BY THE RESULTS.
It's really pretty simple. Most presidents that have both houses of congress get something done. Obama can't be bothered.

it falls apart when you get to politics. That may well be the image the voters have, but a General really DOES have totl command over his subordinates. They are ORDERED to do something and they damn well do it! With politics it different. No Presidnet, nor Senate or House Majority leader can COMMAND his subordinate to vote a certain way. The Pubs do hve the advantage because they are a strict top down organization and for the most part demand & get their orders followed. The Dems are not lie that. The Dems are mostly independant thinkers and as we've seen, won't budge from their own positions.
I blame or credt that to the individual part voters. Most Pubs WANT to be told what to thik, what to believe, & how to vote. Most Dems are independant thinkers, and if they don't like or believe what they're being told, they question it.
The other thig I've come to believe is that the Amercn people in general rarely vote FOR somebody. They rarely get excited because they REALLY support a politician. They all only get reved up when they're pisse off and want to vote AGAINST someone, or some party.

... has a LOT of power. Power to control the party purse. Power to play tit for tat.
Please, the argument that president has little power is bollocks. Of course, a president can choose to be a milktoast pantywaist and never use his power.
