'taxing the energy companies is a terrible idea'
you seen these commercials? regular people pimping for the oil companies?

regular people aka actors bitching about raising taxes on one of the highest grossing industries in the world.....

brought to you by the petroleum industry

quotes from the commercial.....

'some people are barely holding on'

'it's not a good idea to raise taxes on the oil industry, it will kill jobs faster than anything we could do'

'this would really hurt our economy'

'energy is how we operate our lives, we heat our homes, drive our cars, those are the things that we use to keep us comfortable, keep us movin''

'this is certainly not the time to raise taxes'

'this will kill jobs'....

5. It might really kill
their annual bonuses and so many people's long expected social benefits if energy companies are less taxed. Oil industry has been profitable for years and oil prices are not getting lower anytime soon.
