Save your eggs and shoes for November 9th: "Memoir by George W Bush to be published in November"
Memoir by George W Bush to be published in November: Former US president writes about 'never-before-heard detail' of 9/11, his alcoholism, and mistakes and achievements while in White House
David Batty
Monday 26 April 2010

"The autobiography of George W Bush will go on sale in November, offering the former US president's take on the September 11 terrorist attacks, as well as personal issues such as his battle with alcoholism.

The cover of the book, entitled Decision Points, features Bush standing alone in the White House's rose garden colonnade holding a presidential briefing book.

Bush has said the book will not be a memoir but an account of key decisions in his presidency and personal life. According to Crown Publishers, it will offer "gripping, never-before-heard detail" on 9/11 and the 2000 presidential election as well as his decision to quit drinking and insights into his family life

The former president will promote Decision Points through a tour of the US."

George W. Bush memoir set for release on Nov. 9: A week after midterm elections, George W. Bush's memoir "Decision Points" will hit bookstore shelves.
By Marjorie Kehe

(snip)

"Crown now announces that Bush's memoir, "Decision Points," will go on sale on Nov. 9, a week after the Nov. 2, 2010, midterm elections. Crown has also released an image of the cover, which shows Bush alone in the White House Rose Garden, a briefing book gripped in hand. Hardcover copies of "Decision Point" will sell for $35, with 1,000 autographed, clothbound books also available at $350 a copy.

According to Crown, "Decision Points" will not be a traditional memoir, but rather an account of certain key decision points in Bush's life. Central to the book will be the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, Bush's election win in 2000, and his battle with alcohol.

A publishing source is reported to have said that Bush has finished a first draft of the book and is now editing it from his home in Dallas. Former White House speechwriter Chris Michel is said to be helping with research.

(snip)

Exactly how revealing Bush will be is still unknown. Washington Post blogger Alan Cooperman offered his own hope that "Decision Points" will include a clearer account of Bush's religious conversion, which he says has been reported differently by different sources. "I know, a lot of folks will think, who cares about that – we want to know why he invaded Iraq, or something important," writes Cooperman. However, given the importance of religion in Bush's life, it's hard not to agree with Cooperman that the conversion story "seems like an important 'Decision Point.'""

If only he had been reading briefing books for real, back then.

15. He apparently didn't even read his Aug. 2001 briefing titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US”
Either he was the most incompetent leader in modern history or he let the terrorist blow up the WTC on purpose.

14. will he address the lack of wmd's in iraq?
will he explain why so many had to die?

will he explain why we invaded a nation that did not harm to our country?

will he touch on why after a couple of hundred years of leaders much more intelligent than him, we suddenly had to start torturing our perceived enemies?

fuck him and his fucking book

18. Will he explain why he let terrorists blow up the WTC?
After all, he knew they were going to do it.

August 6th, 2001 PDB: "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in US”

(snip)

"But as we have been learning with the missing Weapons of Mass Destruction, the CIA has consistently been forthcoming. So it seems that it is Rice who should explain herself." Bill Vann of wsws.org wrote on December 12, 2003, that "According to press reports, one of these briefs, issued on August 6, 2001--a month before some 3,000 people were killed at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon--warned the White House of plans by Al Qaeda to mount terrorist attacks using hijacked airplanes. "Rather than issuing subpoenas demanding the full panel's unrestricted access to these crucial documents, the leadership of the panel agreed to a rigged procedure in which only one commissioner and one staff member will be allowed to review selected portions of the briefs and write summaries of them, with the White House then vetting the final material, removing whatever it sees fit. "'If this decision stands, I, as a member of the commission, cannot look any American in the eye, especially family members of victims, and say the commission had full access,' Max Cleland said following the announcement of the deal. 'This investigation is now compromised.... This is The Gong Show; this isn't protection of national security.'"

In his April 8, 2004, Salon article "Weeks before 9/11, the president was "consumed" by a pressing policy matter -- but it wasn't al-Qaida", Eric Boehlert wrote:

"On the night of Aug. 9, 2001, speaking from his vacation ranch in Crawford, Texas, President Bush delivered his first prime-time address to the nation. It was just three days after he had read the startling President's Daily Brief titled, 'Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.,' which warned of airline hijackings planned by al-Qaida. It was one month after the administration's counterterrorism chief, Richard Clarke, informed senior law enforcement officials he had gathered inside the White House's Situation Room, 'Something really spectacular is going to happen here, and it's going to happen soon.' And it was three months after intelligence analysts had begun tracking unprecedented 'chatter' about a possible terrorist attack. So now, Bush looked into the camera and spoke solemnly: 'Good evening. I appreciate you giving me a few minutes of your time tonight so I can discuss with you a complex and difficult issue, an issue that is one of the most profound of our time.'

"That issue was stem cell research."

Everyone loves Hello Kitty, so Bushler would be sent to Leavenworth instead. :D

Joking aside, I have a feeling we may actually see war crimes trials sometime in the future now that Bushler has admitted to committing war crimes.

When his ghost writers can't scrape together a traditional autobiography and instead have to write about "decision points" in his life you know it can't be good or honest.

40. Chapter 1 in Dim Son's book "documents" how he quit drinking. Here's the rebuttal ...
... that should be sent to every newspaper in America that might publish a review of Bush's sequel to "My Pet Goat".

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8497298

This thread documents, in word and picture, some of the times Bush was found to be drunk IN PUBLIC during his eight year (p)Residency. I would particularly encourage all y'all to read post #22 in this thread, as it contains an excerpt from a book published by a prominent British official stating that lab technicians at Johns Hopkins found a blood alcohol level above .20 in Bush after his famous "choked on a pretzel" incident.

I would bet now that Bush will eventually expire from a cirrhotic liver, if hubris doesn't do him in beforehand.

43. I'd bet the farm he is high right now.
He's a mass-murdering maniac who lied about everything, most importantly torture (which he recently admitted to doing, and proud of it, and the reasons we had to go to war (blowing up other countries entirely, and wiping out populations).

Of course he'll lie about his constant, lifelong drug use.
