Pastor Jones has become a media darling. |
|
Men and women may die because of this little man's actions but the press will be there in force making his little attention seeking ploy the most viewed and talked about event in the world. It makes me sick.

while Teabaggers start sending him money, which I think was his plan the whole time. I don't think he cares about Muslims one way or another. He just sees $$$$$$$.
Anyone hear Sarah condemn him? Glen?? Fox and Friends??

6. Think about what you are saying |
|
If one of our own citizens, engaging in speech - offensive speech, yes, but only speech - so inflames the Muslim world as to constitute a "national security" threat, then everything the paranoid Anti-Islamists have said is *true,* and coexistence is not possible.
Instead of being "held as a threat to national security," he should simply be held in contempt for being such a clownish buffoon. At the same time, anybody who resorts to violence in response should be regarded as even worse.

3. I'm so pissed at the media for focusing on this moron. |

What would have been a minor gathering will now be worldwide news. I guess it's easier to write about stuff like this than about substantive issues. Assholes.

While I detest what this medevial assclown is doing, his right to do so is protected by the First Ammendment. Another case where you can't legislate stupid and how our corporate media feasts off the stupid.
The irony, if it really needs to be pointed out (and our corporate media is too lazy to connect these dots) is how the great unhinged...the neo-cons and other rushpublican xenophones scream how repressive and destructive "Islam" (broad brushes welcome) and how a handful of zealots justify castigating a religion that covers multiple cultures while the world should ignore their own zealots.

5. He has to have his world-wide 15 minutes of fame because his god tells him that is good. |

He and his handful of 'followers' are every bit as crazy, hateful, and self-righteous as the 9-11 hijackers were. Each group has their agenda and sing the praises of their gods.
Too disgusting for words.

9. The media can spot a ratings cranker-upper when they |

see one.
Better that Jones had remained an extremely local hate-monger than one with a sudden international profile, but I do appreciate the ecumenical chorus of condemnation by religious leaders.
There is a burn ordinance in Gainesville, is there not? Does this guy have a permit to burn anything? If not, I would suggest that he be arrested for violating the ordinance, and fined. Heavily.
