Big Ed hits it out of the park!
"Are you a liberal? Are you going to quit? Are you like Sarah Palin? A quitter? John Boehner is licking his chops to the be the next Leader of the House." (paraphrasing now) You have to ask yourself, liberals, are you going to allow that to happen?

1. I really don't know why people are worried about the liberals.
They'll turn out to vote. They know what's at stake more than anyone. But they aren't going to let it go without expressing their frustration first.

5. Absolutely right!
Why do so many want to blame the liberals?

6. Fear.
Democrats are afraid we're going to get swept, and they are trying desperately to prevent it.

I understand and sympathize with both arguments. I don't want to get swept, but I've not been thrilled with a lot of the big issues Obama has responded to. I've just got more trust in liberals. You've been here forever, too, we've both seen this before. Some of my first posts here in 01 and 02 were arguing against those attacking the Democratic Party. Yet every election, they all turn out. It's the swing votes we need to be out working on, not the liberals.

But not everyone realizes that yet.

2. I've done some research
In-depth, painstaking, leave-no-stone-unturned kind of stuff, and I found out something: A vote counts the same whether you're holding your nose or pumping your fist when you cast your ballot.

I'm voting, and I'm voting the Democratic/Progressive ticket for candidates and ballot measures. I just don't want the Democrats returned to office thinking that their victories were an endorsement of their tepid efforts in 2009 and 2010.

4. I heartily agree, gratuitous. I'll be voting too. I happen to be lucky in
that I live in a Texas district that is Democratic, namely Rep. Chet Edwards. Also, as my friend w8liftinglady and I are equally enthused about, we have an excellent stable of Democratic candidates here in Texas headed up by Mayor Bill White of Houston who stands a very good chance of becoming Texas' first Democratic governor since Ann Richards, who I loved and had the honor of meeting. I'm going to be concetrating on doing my share to get them elected and I will do whatever I can for other Democratic candidates who may be in challenging races.

14. Agreed. And I think everybody needs to get on the primary wagon.
We don't want to lose what meager gains we've made, we want to improve on them. Increase the majority, no more excuses. Plus I am getting the impression the DLC would prefer us to stay home and I am damned if I'll accommodate them, any more than I would the GOP.

12. I am going to vote Democratic
Always do except twice - John Anderson in 1980 and a Green on the county Board of Supervisors.

Boxer and Brown are easy choices.

The "Lefts" and "Liberals" have been set up by our own Party (and many DU posters) to be scapegoats because of the politcal capital of 2 years ago squandered by the neo-liberals.

17. But, for those who don't watch his program, they couldn't care less!!!!!!!
That's the fault of the mainstream media, the MSM, not Ed Schultz.

The MSM spent the first 6 months debating about whether Obama was a US citizen or not.
The MSM spent the next 6 months debating about whether Obama was a Muslim or a Christian.
The MSM spent the next 6 months debating about whether Obama was going to pull out of Iraq.

Now, we've pulled all but 50,000 troops out of Iraq, we know Obama is a Christian, who is a US citizen, so what will the media debate for the next 6 months?

Do you think Obama loves his wife?

Fuck the MSM!!!
They fucked this country by hiding Bush's dirty deeds for 8 years and now they think they can get Democrats kicked out of Congress?!?
Fuck them!!!!!!

I'm going to vote early absentee voting this year.
Again.
