NY State Young Democrats call for boycott to support Mott's workers

More pressure is being put on Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group to agree to demands by Mott’s workers who have been on strike since May. The New York State Young Democrats are calling for a boycott of products produced by the Texas-based company. Last week the bargaining committee rejected a new contract proposed by the company because it included a three-year wage freeze, a 401(k) cut that would have cost workers an estimated $3,600 each, and increases to the amount workers pay toward health care. More than 300 workers are on the picket lines.

2. We need to stick together- the company is arguing that the

workers need to take a big pay cut because other local companies don't pay as well. Mott's used to be family owned and more generous.
