Just a Thought: Maybe the "media" could NOT cover the Koran Burning.
Media Black-Out:
If the TeeVee types were not present and there were no cameras, not to mention the fanned hysteria they generate, this disgusting act would go unnoticed.
This guy is bat shit frightening and his 50 member "church" will be responsible for whatever comes our way once this happens.

1. That would be too logical; they're in the business of
providing salaciousness; this is considered an opportunity by them.

2. It's all kind of a symptom of the celebrity culture isint it?
In a country where people are famous for no other reason then that they're famous pissant nobody pastors can make national news for no reason other then TV networks need footage to put on their programming.

The whole situation from top to bottom is sickening.

3. But this is the age of YouTube.
While I hope the media give this the attention it deserves (none), I'm sure it will pop up on the Internet and go viral. But I don't see the media passing this up, either.

It is truly frightening to think that one tin shack church can potentially have such a widespread effect on world events. Maybe between now and Saturday God will have another "chat" with this guy and let him know that He doesn't think this is such a good idea.

4. True, no media coverage would put the flame out here
pretty quickly, but then again, Rev. Jones knows the media can't ignore something that cranks up the ratings, and what could be more ratings-ready than to drag the Pope, several Hollywood stars, and the Secretary of State into the dust-up?

On the first take it gives Rev. Jones the media circus he craves, but the problem remains that almost everyone else on earth thinks he's a ruthless self-promotional shithead.

That's a lot of pressure.

7. That would be nice
but a better question is how some no-account fundie preacher from the boonies with a following smaller than a youth soccer league has gotten near non-stop national and international news coverage--weapons of mass distraction?

13. Don't take it personally. It's only business.
And because it is business, even if it threatens to bring our nation down, then it is to be celebrated as uniquely American freedom (aka: freedumb).
