(Hmm. From the chart, the divergence really gets going in the early 1980s. Wonder what happened in the early '80s? Could it have been those Reagan tax cuts? Stay tuned.)

How can you exclude government transfers to the middle and lower classes and still consider this informatiuon valid ?

2. Why are you only concerned about government transfers to the middle and lower classes?
The chart also excludes governemnt transfers to the upper classes.
