Michigan GOP leader wants Paul barred from future debates

Associated Press - May 16, 2007 7:45 PM ET

The chairman of the Michigan Republican Party said today he will try to bar presidential candidate Ron Paul from future GOP debates.

The Texas congressman made remarks that suggested the September 11th attacks were the fault of US foreign policy at a GOP debate last night. Paul drew attacks from all sides, most forcefully from former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, when Paul linked the terror attacks to US bombings.

Michigan party chairman Saul Anuzis says he will circulate a petition among Republican National Committee members to ban Paul from more debates...

ACTION ALERT: Contact the Republican National Committee and tell them you support democracy and Ron Paul!

4. Of course it's not about censoring Ron Paul..
It's about hiding the truth to protect BushCo.

2. Why do republicans hate the First Amendment?
Last time I looked, Americans embraced the "marketplace of ideas".

9. Throwing Stones wants to ban anyone not living in the reality-based world
from any and all government positions.

That should create quite a few vacancies throughout DC and elsewhere.

5. not so Reaganesque is it -- Paul even referred to Reagan in support of his position
Imagine Reagan not being invited to a Repig Debate -- actually these days, it is not hard to imagine.

13. The truth about 9-11 scares the shit...
...out of the GOP and they know there are many more Americans now interested to hear from people like Ron Paul than there were five years ago. They can't suppress the truth indefinitely, but they're damn sure gonna try.

Edited on Thu May-17-07 04:41 PM by IronLionZion
"They" meaning the Republican party. The GOP hates us for our freedom, so they hate America. The GOP has more in common with our enemies (Al Qaeda, Saddam, Taliban, etc.) than they care to admit.
