Any Chance Bill Clinton will Campaign for Jerry Brown ? |
|
i know Clinton hasn't gotten over 1992 primary with what happened with Jerry Brown. but now Whitman is using Clinton against Brown.
Clinton even went as far as try to get NEwsom to run for Gov just to stop Brown.
but now that it has come down to Brown vs Whitman any chance Clinton would campaign for him, any public endorsement ?

1. What could Clinton still be mad about from 1992? |
|
Brown ran a tough campaign against him in the primaries, but it wasn't a dirty campaign, and Brown campaigned as hard for the Clinton-Gore ticket in the fall as anybody else did.
Clinton has no legitimate grudges to be holding against Jerry Brown.

3. He is known to hold grudges |

I guess we'll see if he can put it aside and help Brown. It'll anger a lot of people (me included) if he doesn't.

6. Why is Bill obligated to campaign for Brown. |
|
Let him ask Obama for help. I'm not saying that Bill wouldn't go if asked, but he's not obligated to campaign for Brown.

8. Did I say he was obligated? |
|
No I didn't. And why bring Obama into it? Bill Clinton is featured in the ad, not Obama. We're talking about Bill Clinton here. You're so fixated on the Clinton vs. Obama thing. You seem to hold grudges too. It's too bad.

interesting.
It gave the Clinton campaign significant fits.
A recent column from California suggests that Jerry Brown remains "enigmatic," which to Clinton's 1992 presidential effort was a bad thing but to some of us is a very good thing.
I hope Bill's personal spite does not carry over to the point where he would let a good man like Jerry Brown lose to a monstrous nitwit like Met Whitman. He should cut an ad endorsing Brown and condemning what Whitman stands for in the strongest terms, and soon.

2. Nutmeg just ran an ad during the 11:00pm news... |
|
with Clinton railing against Jerry about several things. It would go a long way if the Bigdog did the right thing for us here in CA...
