Why do conservatives hate America?

Why do conservatives hate America? Before you go into screaming hysterics, consider this. When the Bush REGIME (thanks, Rush) was in power, any criticism of the president, his administration or their policies were met with howls of “ANTI-AMERICAN!!!!! You hate America! You hate the flag, you hate the troops. You hate Mom, apple pie, baseball and Chevrolet. We’re at war, you’re giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Why do you hate America?”

What’s different today? We’re still at war but now we have a Democratic president, who happens to be black, btw. But all day, on AM hate radio, starting with the pill popping Junkie, Limbaugh and all day, every day on FAUX NotNews, the president, his administration and their policies are trashed, ridiculed, lied about and slandered. Limbaugh has called Obama everything but the “N” word and even the wife and children of the president have been attacked. (That would be you, Beck).

So, using their own language and reasoning, I ask the conservatives this. Why do you hate America? Why do you hate the flag and the troops? And why, WHY, are you giving aid and comfort to the enemy? Why do you hate America?

5. They Want Power...

The only way rushpublicans win is when the country is divided and they can use wedge issues to energize their base and demoralize ours. The non-stop attack on this administration has been a deliberate attack to make it fail so they can once again get into power and their hands on the billions of federal dollars. It's about preserving their corporate welfare system that they all profit from and enhancing corporate power they know is threatened by the current administration.

They don't "hate America" as much as they love their own power. They represent the arrogant, the selfish...the special interests who now dominate our government and media and will do anything to keep or increase their wealth and power. They assume the American electorate is stupid with a short-term memory. We will see if they're right in a few short weeks.

6. Buddhist answer: they hate themselves. Explanation follows:

If you feel insecure about yourself for whatever reason----say, your mom did not love you or your dad was always at work making money and never home for you or you were teased for being short or gay or fat---one way you can compensate is to tell yourself "I am better than those people." If you grew up a poor white in the South and were belittled for your poverty, you may have been taught to think "But at least I am better than all Black people!" So later, if you meet Black people that are better off than you, your self esteem takes a hit---and so you attack Black folk, because it feels safer to hate someone else than to admit that you hate yourself.

Men who beat their wives have major self esteem issues. Parents who beat their kids tend to have been unloved as children. The uber wealthy who only get joy out of making money are attempting to fill a void within themselves, much the same way that gambling addicts, drug addicts and alcoholics do. If any of these thrill junkies could really know themselves, they would stop hating themselves, they would stop being afraid---and then they would discover that they feel compassion for others.

You can not love others unless you love yourself.

Note that not all conservatives hate America or Americans. True libertarians think that people individually are just fine. And there is a subset of leftists who want to see pornography banned because they think that people are icky.

7. Neocons hate America simply because they hate our founding principles, the promote the general

welfare doctrine, equal justice under the law, the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness doctrine, the land of the free and home of the brave, the rule of law, the separation of church and state, the three separate but equal main branches of government, just to name a few: their ideology is wholly foreign to every truly American ideal and founding principle and they flatly seem to be the enemy within. ;)
