Take a Look at foxisbias.com

Hey folks, a friend of mine and his wife have started a new media watchdog website on Fox News.

www.foxisbias.com

It's been online about a month and a half now but they are not getting very many hits, so if you guys could read it, bookmark it, and visit the site once a day they would appreciate it.

1. Seems to me that I've seen this identical post several time.
I looked at the site the first time, and couldn't find anything of interest there. I'll go look again.

3. It's already in my favs...

I should get a prize for being one of the first;)

I'd like to see them add links to support their claims... I know what they are saying is correct because I'm more informed than the average American... but I'd really like to use that site to combat my TeaBaggy cousins... without needing to get backup myself.

Ok, I'm lazy... so what?

:D

Still... I can see it helping.

For example: "Note to Eric Bolling, the entire stimulus package was only $757 billion, so how could it be that trillions of stimulus dollars are not working, when it was not even 1 trillion." It would have been nice not to need to do the legwork on this before sending off my retort to the above-referenced cousin.

and while MM DOES hit Fox hard and often, its not a DEDICATED Fox bashing site.

Newshounds is also a pretty good site

5. You might want to tell your friends to fine-tune their
AdSense parameters. Here are the ads at the top of the page from the current refresh. Most are questionable or right-wing in orientation. That doesn't look good on a putative progressive site, seems to me:

Gold Confiscation Learn why the US confiscated gold in 1933 & how to protect yourself
Goldline.com/Confiscation

Glenn Beck's Economics Read Man Who Influenced FA Hayek Nurture Your Community. Shop Indie.
www.IndieBound.org

WEC 2010 Siemens has answers to sustainable economic development in the future.

And here are the sidebar ads:

Official Obama Website

www.BarackObama.com

National Debt: $13.5T
We each owe $43.5K Scared? Stop Dem Spending

6. Looking at your own sites in your sig line,
I see that the ads are almost exclusively right-wing as well. Both the ads at the top and in the sidebar. You can block ads from specific places, you know. It just makes your site look stupid and detracts from the content.

I understand that you're trying to make money from all of these sites, but it's going to be difficult to get people to visit them frequently if the ads are totally at odds with what you're trying to say. What do you suppose the likelihood that a Beck or O'Reilly opponent is going to click on a Goldline or anti-Obama ad link?

There's more to creating and operating a successful website than just putting it up and hooking up with AdSense. Please take a close look at your site, and the ones you've created for your friends. You're working against yourself.
