All Saints Episcopal Church of East Lansing will still have Quran reading Saturday
Local church officials say Gainesville, Fla has strong interfaith community

By Dawn Parker / Lansing State Journal

EAST LANSING – The small Gainesville, Fla. church which threatened to burn the Quran may have postponed, or even canceled, its protest, but All Saints Episcopal Church will still conduct its open reading of the Muslim holy book.

All Saints Episcopal Church rector Kit Carlson posted this on Facebook:

"We will still be reading from the Qu'ran on Saturday night and encourage you to attend to show our solidarity, across lines of faith and culture, and our respect for one another in this community."

Carlson graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville, as did Rev. Sarah Midzalkowski, Canterbury MSU chaplain at All Saints.
