Pastor Terry Jones: 'We will not burn the Quran — not today, not ever'
hey terry, FUCK OFF.
and shame on the toady show

Pastor Terry Jones told NBC's TODAY show on Saturday that his church in Gainesville, Fla., would not burn Qurans in protest to the building of an Islamic center near the site of the Sept. 11 attacks in 2001.

"We will definitely not burn the Quran, no," he said.

"Not today, not ever," he said when pressed about whether his planned demonstration might happen at a later date. He explained that it would not happen even if the Islamic center is built near ground zero.

Jones flew to New York to appear on NBC's TODAY show and told interviewer Carl Quintanilla that there was no meeting set up with New York Imam Faisal Rauf.

2. But I thought God told you to do it after you had prayed over it?
Are you now obeying Obama instead of the Lord, Pastor Jones?

3. Anyone want to bet the FBI's little talk with him....
included some suggestion of racketeering/corruption or related charges, given his checkered history and slave labor practices within his cult? Of course I'm sure they painted the reality of how very difficult it would be to protect him from 1 billion plus Muslims. :sarcasm:

22. Yep, my idea too. Nothin' like some federal agents telling you what's gonna happen to your ass.
It was my guess too...oh, well, this guy seems to be so fast on the draw with the backing out deal I have to wonder...nothing like a BIG fatwa coming your way to focus your mind...or a federal indictment...with one you're dead, with the other you wish you were dead...whatever...

...so that he doesn't look like a dumb shit when he goes on camera.

7. I bet the fatwas for his head have not been recalled
Terry Jones better shave off that ridiculous mustache, change his identity, and crawl back into the dark hole from whence he came.

8. Westboro Baptist Church will
News article snip:

Although the church burned a Quran in Washington in 2008, it did not get much media attention. On its web site Friday, the church called Pastor Jones in Gainesville a “false prophet … bullied by sissy, intolerant rebels worldwide into cancelling plans to burn that blasphemous idol called the Koran.”

Westboro also declared that it “will burn the Koran and the doomed American flag at 12:00 p.m. on September 11, 2010 at Westboro Baptist Church.”

18. So the "liberal" media was conned again. . .
this whole circus just underscores the commitment the MSM has to sensationalizing and glorifying anything some obscure loon on the Right might utter, while the rest of the country is never represented.

This entire charade is an utter embarassment.

20. Oh to be a wall during his meeting with the FBI
Wonder what they dug up on him or promised to do if he actually went thru with the burning??

I saw that he said on the TV interview that "God told them" to not do it. I'm thinking the God he is referring to flashed an FBI ID card before He started talking to him.
