Yes, he says: he will vote in November. Will he tell me who he plans to vote for?

Well, he doesn't know yet, he says. I standing in his yard, with my clipboard, trying to think what to say next: he's already registered

A grey day, beginning to drizzle ever-so-slightly

I don't know what the Republicans will do, he says; I don't know what they stand for. They're the Party of No. What do they stand for?

We chat a moment more. I ask, Can we mail you a copy of the Democratic slate?

Yes, please

So it goes: many say they'll definitely vote but don't know yet who they'll vote for -- and then offer a handshake as I leave, or a drink of water, or smile with the eyes and say, Thank you

1. But he will also remember your kind smile, intelligence and manner
in which you spoke to him. That always makes an impression, a positive one. Life on the campaign road....sigh. Good luck!

2. Thank you for the report
and thank you for getting out there and doing the difficult and tedious work that must be done if we are to hold on to both houses of congress.

3. Well at least we know some of them are thinking and are
observing what is going on. The Republicans in DC can't help themselves, they will make more blunders before November.
