36% on taxable income from $192,001 to $375,700
and
39.6% on taxable income over $375,700
NOT 36% on all taxable income if their income is from $232,951 to $375,700.
NOT 39.6% on all taxable income if their income is over $375,700.
AND
the rich will pay the same rates as everyone else on taxable income below $232,951. That means they will have income that is taxed at the lower rate too.
Oh They don't pay Social Security tax on income above $106,800. Most of us other schmucks have to pay it on all of our income.
