(Democrats) going to lose"
Mike Murphy, Republican strategist, said this on Meet the Press today.
"GO HARD LEFT"???? WHAT POLICIES DID PRESIDENT OBAMA "GO HARD LEFT" AND WHEN DID IT HAPPEN?
Why doesn't anyone call the GOPIGS on their rhetoric and ask for examples?

2. Speaking of 'rhetoric,' |

I assume your question is rhetorical, as it's beyond dispute that the corporate/complicit media are nothing more than the conservatroids' house organ - a mighty Wurlitzer, cranking out noise that's sweet music to their ears.

|
He has, of course, allowed his staff to distance his administration even further from the left. Gibbs and Emmanuel have been busy.
Why doesn't anyone in the MSM, where the propaganda is sent out each day, call the propagandists on their bullshit? Who owns them?

5. That's the biggest problem with the Dems. They let the |
|
Neocons lie non-stop without making much of any reply. So, the Neocons continue to fool the American people with lies, since the people hear no other version. So the Neocons win in the war of words.
Keep it up, Democrats, and give the Elections of 2010 as a present to the Neocons! Just keep on helping the Neocons win!

but let them keep saying that and the repugs will think others will pick up their slack and stay home on election day. let's hope for bad weather on election day and even more will stay home.

I think a lot of folks are playing wiht the pollsters and telling them they are going to vote repig just to see thier heads spin election night when we do ok. If Democrat candidates start campaigning saying that HCR must now be a single payer system paid for by the fat cats stealing our labors then we will gain seats.

11. No one knows what is Left any more. The Right has been permitted |
|
say what is Right and what is Left. This is what happens when a Party does not have its own definition.
The Me Too Democratic Party does not apparently know what is Left either.
I will give this explanation. The Republicans do not believe in any form of Gov. Health Care. Therefore the fact that Democrats passed a Right of Center Bill, goes against Conservatism. Any form of any Health care is to a Conservative--a hard Left turn.

It's in the Republican Big-Money lockstep. From some angles it can look almost like principle, or even leadership.

'Hard left' is good for the general citizenry and rewarded as such in elections. Obama is merely 'slightly less hard right', and is thus suffering for it.

|
Like "if it takes a hard left to avoid a freakin' cliff, thank God we finally have a presidential leader smart enough to DO it".
or "devotedly making hard rights is how you flush a toilet bowl, not run a country".
Surely other DUer's can come up with something snarkier.

The current democratic party is so far to the right its policy positions are more aligned with Eisenhower than the Republicans - who are more aligned with Pinochet.

know exactly what they are doing and that what they say is a BIG LIE. But that's the format. Look how they got 1/3 of the people to believe Iraq was involved in 9/11. They used the same tactics. Gregory should have called him on it, but he's part of the problem.

27. So the Democrats will likely respond |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-12-10 09:04 PM by GreenArrow
by veering further right in order to show that they are not "hard left", thus further marginalizing any sort of historically understood ideas of "left".
Instead of running away from it, there's a better solution for the Democrats to take: EMBRACE the Left. If they want to talk about Socialism, then give them some damn socialism. At the very least, it will bring the national conversation back to a more balanced place.

on the economy.
You can't expect to ignore what the vast majority of voters are telling you, shove through unwanted legislation anyway, show a pathetic response to the real problems, and not have voters be enraged.
