Republicans clearly see no downside to being as grossly bigoted as Fox will allow |

And clearly, Fox will allow just about any bigotry you can imagine and then some.
Gingrich, Barbour, and all the other so-called 'mainstream' Republicans (who seem to be no more than a sliver apart from the extremists in their party) who blather on about "the limits of religious tolerance" and "Kenyan-socialist values" on Fox are clearly banking on getting away with their anti-Islamic, anti-immigrant, anti-African American rhetoric. We're going to hear a lot more of this once outrageous and beyond-the-pale talk spewing from them until there are Republican majorities and a Republican in the White House.
This is a winning formula for them. They can't be shamed into stopping. They thrive on the left's and the Democrats' outrage, because it helps spread the message to the roobs in the heartland: "We Republicans think just like you do. Democrats think like those strange, dirty, colored other people. Now who are you going to vote for? Someone like you or someone like them?"

1. They don't bother to wear Hoods or do cross burnings anymore |
|
The republican national teabagger party feels comfortable without hoods and using racial inuendo to get their bigoted points across, all the while trying with all their might to blame others for their racism.
Pond scum.

2. Yeah, a functioning popular media would be all over this |
|
Instead we're treated to endless speculation about Obama's place of birth, and why so many people are preoccupied with this settled question. Today on Meet the Press/Face the Nation/Every Other Talk Show, we'll have a distinguished panel of conservatives and conservative journalists discuss this Very Important Topic. Also, don't miss the 30-second wrap-up at the conclusion of our program, where we analyze the latest scheme from the Obama White House. All that on a don't-you-dare-miss-it edition of Sunday Talk.

3. I was on vacation, I think it was 10 years ago or so, and the table conversation turned to news. |
|
A woman on the table said, I'm paraphrasing, "I don't watch CNN, I watch that Republican channel, I forget the name. . ."
I said, "Fox?"
She replied, "Yeah! That's it!"
I rolled my eyes, my wife grabbed me under the table to tell me just let it go, so I did.
