Hoe many ways can you say LIED???? |
|
Tweety really got ticked at one of his guests today when he was smiling about Newt callin Obama a Kenyan, and he yelled "It's NOT FUNNY!"
But beyond that, both that guest & Howard Fineman said things like "FACTUAL INACURACY & fACTUALLY FALSE THAT WAS A FALSEHOOD"!
HOW DAMN MANY WAYS CAN YOU CALL SOMEONE A LIAR WITHOUT JUST COMING OUT & SAYING IT!!!!!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrr...

They are so very loathesome; and it is sickening to see the rightwing nutjobs "get away with it" time after time.
Call 'em out, I say.

People treat facts as opinions and opinions as facts. A person clearly lies and you have to pretend he didn't. A person thinks he speaks for God and you have to treat him like that might be true. It's insane.

13. I know several people who believe 'god' is speaking thru Beck. |
|
It's scary when you think how ignorant and stupid people have to be to believe that nonsense. They lap up all of Beck's words like they are gospel even though Beck makes his living by bearing false witness against his neighbors, a violation of their God's Commandments. I am truly amazed at their stupidity.

14. Treating them like gentlemen is like "casting pearls before swine". |
|
Yet Obama continues to treat them like gentlemen. So these swine "turn on him and tear at him." It's exactly as written in the New Testament.

7. They almost refuse to say it |
|
You don't see any pundits, anchors, columists, etc say someone lied. They say mispoke, factually inaccurate. I don't know when it became against the rules to call out someone for lying. It is almost like they don't want to step on anyones toes and dance around it.

11. People who make willfully false statements are liars.. |
|
And willfully false statements are indeed lies.
The two terms are semantically equivalent.

However, in polite conversation, one does not make personal characterizations.
I baked a cake once. Am I a baker?

12. I think I know the answer |
|
Being "factually inaccurate" or "false" does not imply motive - the person could just be ill-informed. Lying implies willfully representing falsehoods as fact.
