Question: How did the Republicans manage to get away with an old communist class warfare tactic?

Rupert Murdoch - Socialist Worker?

I have heard people like Palin, Fox News presenters, Republican Senators, essentially the GOP Elite accuse the Democratic Party of being "elitists".

They have often complained about the amount of money Democratic politicians have. They attack Soros for his wealth but not Koch.

Republicans are supposed to support those who have made money, after all they spent all Summer arguing for tax cuts for the very wealthiest.

On Free Republic they are being positively Leninist, (never mind Marx) about the t-shirt worn by Michelle Obama (adding in of course their usual racism and sexism).

I find it curiously amusing that reporters on Fox News call anyone elitist, many of them paid $millions by a man, who was elected by no-one but who has and does use his power to bring down governments across the World if they fail to support his agenda.

Democrats could never have got away with this as a campaign tactic because it would have been called out as class warfare, which it is. So how has the Republican movement been able to adopt big scary Communism and get away with it?

2. They are quite prepared to use class warfare language when it suits them.
Attacking Kerry for his yacht.
Attacking Michelle Obama for her holiday.

Using the term "elitists" to attack those in power. Creating envy and anger against the wealthy (only if the are Democratic Party supporters).

It is an old Trotskyist/Leninist tactic. It isn't even Marxist. Class warfare and money envy at its purest and Republicans get away with it.

5. Huh? They get away with everything as they own and operate all of the Old Media.
So why would they not let themselves get away with anything at all?

6. So basically there is no downside to crazy
even if it means adopting any tactic, even those of the extremely far left as no one will call them on it.
