Go Christine O'Donnell! Democrats can win their first senate seat today.... |
|
Polls in Delaware:
Castle(R) 48 Coons(D) 37
Coons(D) 47 O'Donnell(R) 36
It's actually pretty binary. If the tea party wins in Delaware today, then we win in November.
So... for one day... Go Tea Party!

3. Agreed. O'Donnell can't run on any real accomplishment so she went dirty on Castle |
|
including making attacks on his sexual orientation.
Since it looks like that strategy may pay off (so much for "restoring honor and integrity") I wouldn't expect O'Donnell to do otherwise in the general election.
However, one can hope that like after several other Republican primaries that there will be no "reconciliation" meeting and that Castle will refuse to endorse O'Donnell if she does win.

5. After DE GOP leader Tom Ross received death threats from O'Donnell supporters... |
|
I highly doubt the DEGOP will give any support to her.
The state of the GOP in Delaware is already pretty dismal. Mike Castle is the only republican that can win statewide in this very blue state.
I think the DEGOP will realize that their money is better spent on the Rollins-R v. Carney-D for our only house race. This is another tough race since Carney seems popular but he wasn't popular enough to win the Dem Primary for Governor 2 years ago. Best to let O'Donnell fade into obscurity and find a better republican to run against Coon 4 years from now (this is to replace Biden so the seat would come up for election again in 2014).

7. Agree... the very fact the RW extreme has become this crazy.... |
|
yet this influential and thus posing a problem for Republicans is amusing. However, the fact they have been overtaken by an extreme this crazy, yet influential is also very frightening. All it would take is apathy and poor Dem turn out for some of these kooks to win their general elections...

6. Living in Delaware I prefer my closed primaries |
|
I mean I like the fact that we will have qualified democrats running instead of nutjob plants by the republicans.
