O'Reilly is all worked up because the Imam's friend is a "Truther". The article, linked below, gives many reasons why his outrage is so misguided. This is extreme, even for Fox, IMO. http://www.newshounds.us/2010/09/14/omg_ground_zero_mosque_imam_is_associated_with_a_truther.php?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter

1. Good job on this by News Hounds |
|
It's laid out very well--and O'Reilly's report is thoroughly debunked--at the link.

A Fox News contributor also seems to be a Truther or at least supports those that are truthers. He has been on Oreilly's show a number of times....so Oreilly has a connection to an American hater truthers! Therefore, Oreilly is a radical Muslim.

4. Excellent point. It amazes me the way Fox smears people |
|
with the comments or beliefs of a friend or associate. If you put anyobody through that type of scrutiny you will find something considered controversial. And, of course, should anyone be responsible for every belief or comment of every friend or associate in their lives? It is a preposterous standard but it plays well on FOX.

5. The more I think about this, I wonder if O'Reilly doesn't have |
|
something else that he is holding back. This attack is really lame and more from Hannity's bag of tricks, which usually make Billo look almost reasonable.
O'Reilly is a shameless shill but he usually has a little more ammunition that this when he attacks.

my right wing whacked out father saw Oreilly lasy night and when he heard Oreilly talking about the Iman's connection to a truther he said, "this is good stuff.....they better not build that Mosque at Ground Zero there because the Iman is a radical." By the way, my father has a friend who is a truther.....I guess I should call the cops on him because he must be a radical muslim terrorist.
