1. I Hope They Hold The Senate Vote Before The House Vote.....
Edited on Tue Sep-14-10 02:20 PM by global1
and I hope the Senate vote is before the November election.

They need to get the Repugs on the record in the Senate and don't want to give the House Repugs cover by letting them vote for it and then have the Senate Repugs vote against it.

I want to go into the Nov election with the Repugs on the record of voting against letting the tax cuts for the rich expire.

4. So are you saying the fabulously wealthy pay too much in tax and the poor too little?
Are you suggesting raising rates on the middle class so that Paris Hilton can afford another couple houses a year?

13. The Top 1% Holds More Wealth Than The Bottom 90%, So, Yes, They Should Pay Their "Fair Share"
Edited on Tue Sep-14-10 03:17 PM by Beetwasher
What % of the taxes should they pay? You do the math.

"It is also my understanding that 48% of the income that would be subject to higher taxes will be that of small business."

Please source this gigantic load of horseshit or admit you just made it up.

If you've got a problem with their tax cuts expiring, take it up with your boy Bush who implemented them in that way.

5. Numbers alone, without context, are meaningless statistics...
For example, how much of all the wealth does the top 1% hold?

11. Then would it not be fair for them to pay 90% of the taxes needed??
Seems fair to me. :-)
