When comparing "us" and "them", don't overlook the SCOTUS appointments.

President Barack Hussein Obama, Democrat, has appointed Justices Sotomayor and Kagan. I happen to like and respect both of them, but understand that there were more liberal nominees available. If I had my "druthers", I'd have loved another Douglas or Marshall, but these two women are more than "OK".

Pause for just a moment and consider the cloud of conservative oppression that would be now darkening every corner of our existence had John McCain---or Sarah Palin---been in office to elevate a couple more Scalias or Roberts or Alitos to the highest court in the land. There would be a 7 to 2 rubberstamp for anything proposed by the "new" Tea Party and the old money that funds them.

If you think these fascist wingnuts are arrogant now, how do you think they'd behave if "their" SCOTUS had their back?

No difference between the parties?
