So I Was Listening to Rush Limbaugh Today
whilst driving back from Florida to the ATL on 1-75, pride of the GA DOT - "Give us 20 years to widen the road and we'll get it done".

I listen to right wing talk radio sometimes to keep myself amused and awake.

Anyway, Jabba was blathering on about the Obama administration forcing us real Americans use corkscrew lightbulbs while yanking on Leia's chain. Can someone please explain what in the hell he was talking about? Isn't this part of the voluntary energy savings things you could do to get a tax credit? I'd think that Jabba would want to save his pennies for his next Carribean vacation.

Oh and his other big pronouncement was that Christine O'Donnell got 35% of the vote against VP Biden during the 2008 Delaware Senate campaign as some sort of proof that she can win the whole shebang this time. "Biden at the top of the ticket only got 65% of the vote".

Apparently winning by 30% and over 100K votes wasn't a big enough victory. Maybe the good folks of DE figured that Joey B would have a new job come Wednesday, November 5th?

The rantings of a madman...

2. Did he use the phrase "bend over" or "ram it down our throats"?
He seems to have a fixation.

4. It's not entirely voluntary
You can't buy the old-fashioned incandescent bulbs in stores any more. But that happened before the last election, so it falls into the category of "things Bush did that the RW noise machine is trying to blame Obama for" (if "blame" is the right word in this context, since I regard the switch to energy-efficient light bulbs as a good thing).

10. You can't buy them anymore? Then what did I just buy?
Maybe it depends on what state you live in. We have them here in MI.

5. Most of his vitriol seemed aimed at Mike Castle
I also was listening to Limbaugh's show for about 45 minutes today while driving across town (Cincinnati). His main issue seemed to be that Castle is a RINO and according to Rush and I believe I am quoting or at paraphrasing accurately "a RINO is worse than a Democrat. So by Rush's logic or lack thereof a Democratic clean sweep victory in November would guarantee no RINO's in Congress and per Rush RINOs are "worse" than Democrats.

20. Puke Poll...
Should Limpballs picture be sent to Christine O'Donnell? Secondly, would the image of Limpballs in the nude change O'Donnell's platform?

8. I think some states are banning incandescent lightbulbs, which I personally disagree with.
I always figured a buck-a-bulb tax would be the better way to go. Some fixtures just don't work with the bulkiers CFLs, and some people might need the bulbs for, say, makeup lights, art, or fixtures on dimmer switches. So if they want to pay an extra buck for a 25-cent light bulb, that works for me. Use the tax money to build wind turbines or give away free solar-panel systems or something.

9. I heard her ranting this morning...
She sounds like a real idiot... basic TeaBaggery stupid. I had to Google this interview because I couldn't decide if she was just stupidly mixing metaphors, or if she thought she was being smart... I opted for the former after reading the full interview... this is the bit that caught my attention:

“The Republican Party has lost its way,” O’Donnell told ABC News. ”They get behind candidates like my opponent who don’t even support the Republican platform, who continue to support the Democrats' agenda, lock-step-and-barrel.”

Entire interview here:

14. Think about it - Biden got 65% of the vote and he didn't even bother to campaign
In fact he got MORE votes in his US Senate race then he did on the Prez/VP ticket with Obama (65% as Senator, 61% as Prez/VP)

where the hell did his math come from?
