NSA Whistleblower Warned Domestic Spying Program Is Sign the U.S. is Decaying Into a “Police State”
Remember this guy? He was fired long after the Comey/Bush incident. Apparently, whatever Comey fixed, it didn't stay fixed for long. Mr. Tice claims Bush continued to KNOWINGLY break the law and that was long after Comey, Ashcroft & Mueller deemed the NSA spy program illegal.

Former NSA intelligence agent Russell Tice condemns reports that the Agency has been engaged in eavesdropping on U.S. citizens without court warrants. Tice has volunteered to testify before Congress about illegal black ops programs at the NSA. Tice said, “The freedom of the American people cannot be protected when our constitutional liberties are ignored and our nation has decayed into a police state."

We turn now to the growing controversy over President Bush’s decision to order the National Security Agency to eavesdrop on U.S. citizens inside the country without the legally required court warrants. Bush’s decision was first revealed in the New York Times in mid-December. The Times published the expose after holding the story for more than a year under pressure from the White House. The paper reportedly first uncovered the illegal order prior to the 2004 election. When the editors at the Times decided last month to go ahead with the article, President Bush personally summoned the paper’s publisher, Arthur Sulzberger, and executive editor, Bill Keller, to the Oval Office in an attempt to talk them out of running the story. Since the story broke, calls for Congressional hearings and the possible impeachment of the president have intensified. Conservative legal experts have even admitted Bush may have committed an impeachable offense by ordering the NSA to break the law.

6. I'll bet you anything they spied on the Kerry campaign, and probably
a few of the congressional races, as well.

I mean, if they'll spy on the QUAKERS (??? ) , they're sure going to get a lot more mileage out of campaigns, no? Besides, the bush administration is truly convinced that democrats ARE terrorists; so by spying on Kerry, they were looking at the #1 guy! That's pretty important to an administration that keeps coming up with #2 al qaidas!

4. Oh you don't, d'ya? What if the Quakers were to start poisoning the OATMEAL !!!!
And they could, you know--at any time.
Children eat oatmeal from sea to shining sea here in this country. Granted it's not winter right now which would is the prime oatmeal season and consequently the window of prime oatmeal vulnerability; but we're not necessarily talking about right now. We're talking about the LAST SIX YEARS in which George W. Christ has kept your kids' oatmeal safe from Marxist-Islamofascist contamination at the hands of bitter self-righteous Quakers.

Every American kid eight years old and above, if they've ever eaten a bowl of oatmeal, probably owes their life to our President's eternal vigilance against the Quaker-Quietistic Menace. So save your sarcasm, and don't impeach him and call him names for "spying" on the Quakers, just THANK him.
On your knees, you'll thank him, if you have any decency!

3. I still believe their main targets were the Democratic candidates...
especially Kerry.

When did Fitzgerald begin the hearings on the Plame affair?

5. You just know these bastards did.
Any advantage to re-elect would be on the table. They had to have been monitoring all of the Democrats in 2004, particularly the ones for re-election.

8. I've always wondered what DU's policy on this and with ISP or whatever they call it
on providing info to NSA is. Some ISP cooperation on true terror investigations (with FISA and warrants and oversight) is logical but the * administration is all about retaliation and 'party' loyalty over COUNTRY loyalty. They never seemed to get around to reading Geo. Washington's Final Address to the Nation.

11. Just look at it this way...
You'll have plenty of DU friends in the Halliburton camps
as you are herded there with the rest of us by the Blackwater Stasi.
For the record, if we are cell mates, I get the top bunk.
