Don't get me wrong, we have GOT to have a second Obama term...but I'm wondering if Obama hasn't strayed a bit too far from the ideals of FDR during his first term.

Once Obama won the election, I think he was too conciliatory to Republicans in general.

He should have stomped them without mercy; that's what they would have done to us, and are doing (denial of unemployment extensions, etc.)

Obama needs to show progressive Democrats that he stands solidly within the traditions of FDR.

That means unqualified support for a fuller implementation of FDR's 'Four Freedoms"

Maybe he and Michelle should go to Hyde Park one weekend, visit the house and graves.

Then come back to DC primed to kick some serious Republican ass - to drive out those who obstruct this country's economic recovery and future progress.

Wheelchair-bound FDR waged total war on the forces of global fascism and emerged victorious....

The challenges that we face in these times pale in comparison.

Let's get with it, Obama, and live up to the standard that FDR set for this country and the world!

4. The R's do not want to play nice and I think/hope he's now gotten that message. Endless
bipartisanship IMO in this environment is eventually weakness.
