2. I did feel kind of sorry
watching Rep. Castle's concession speech, but the prospect of that nutjob O'Donnell in the Senate trumps everything.

3. I love Chris Coons!
Chris Coons has been the clearly superior candidate in this race, even if Mike Castle had won (obviously). I was worried that us Delawareans might have voted for Castle blindly, since he's been around so long and is viewed as "moderate." I never felt he was moderate and he rarely let the GOP down on the big issues. So I don't feel bad for him at all. I am volunteering for the Coons' campaign and have had his bumper stickers on my car for about a month. He has degree in ethics, among other things, and is soft-spoken, intelligent, and a good family man. THIS IS GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!!!!

4. Thanks for the link, Delarage
What a contrast between him and Christine! Hope he gets plenty of air time (but not Faux) in the next 6 weeks and lots of cash. That's what it'll take.

5. Hey Stranger!!
Hope to see you out on the campaign trail!

This should be an easy win but honestly, I'm gonna campaign hard to make sure this win happens. I think half of Castle's problem with this election was a bit like Bill Roth's back in 2000 - he just assumed because he was the established name that he would win. Of course Bill Roth's loss gave us Sen. Tom Carper. Now there's a chance this lunatic might be our senator - :scared:

7. I'll be out there!
I'm going to work hard for him and Carney. I've gotten a late start on it, by I signed up to volunteer through the website and someone called (I'm going to call them on Friday) and see what I can do.

6. I do feel badly about it

You are correct in your observation about the "big issues", but seeing someone who has been dedicated to public service go down like this is the stuff of tragedy.
