Over drinks with a few right leaning friends tonight, the conversation |
|
drifted to tax cuts. These guys want the wealthiest to pay their taxes! While they may agree with the Teabaggers on some of their claims, there is no support for giving the wealthiest an extension on their tax holiday. They observed (as have many here) that these people had 8 years to show that giving tax breaks creates jobs. It has been an epic fail.
This may show that a battle over ending the tax break for the wealthy can be a political winner this fall.

2. Anyone who thinks the tea partiers |

favor tax breaks or bailouts for the rich has just not been paying attention. This is what makes them dangerous, they sound absolutely reasonable to people who have no political knowledge or convictions.

3. However one of the biggest challenges is that all the Big Media |

Owners love them their tax breaks.
They all now hold huge Corporate Holdings. Look at all the stuff the NYT's owns. They don't wanna lose those tax breaks, and they hold the power of the pen.
Which at most times can be much mightier than the truth or the sword.
